Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner Rumours
Liverpool may struggle to recruit their striking targets from the Bundesliga this summer as it will take an "outrageous" offer to prise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang away from Borussia Dortmund, while Timo Werner has said playing at Anfield would be "special" but revealed his desire to stay at RB Leipzig.
According to the Mirror, Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said the club would be prepared to entertain offers for their star striker.
"As of yet, I have no information that suggests Auba will leave Dortmund," he said. "If we were to reach that point, we will sit down and listen to each other, we have a lot of respect for Auba, and he deserves that."

However, Liverpool and any other potential suitors would have to splash the cash: "But there are not an awful lot of clubs that would be a step forward for him in my opinion. Either way, he will only leave Dortmund for an outrageous transfer fee if he does move."
The striker has netted 30 goals in all competitions this season—23 in as many Bundesliga matches and seven in as many UEFA Champions League matches.
Per ESPN FC's Stefan Buczko and Bleacher Report UK's Lars Pollmann, he made the difference in Dortmund's recent 1-0 win over FC Ingolstadt:
"Ball over the top from Kagawa, Schmelzer cross, Aubameyang puts it away. Dortmund go ahead with their first chance. #bvbfci

Liverpool could use a centre-forward this summer, as their current front three of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane, while potent, lacks a natural, prolific goalscorer.
Reuniting Aubameyang with manager Jurgen Klopp, who brought him to Dortmund in 2013, would be ideal given the Gabon international's status as one of Europe's deadliest hitmen.
Watzke is perhaps correct in his assessment that moving to Liverpool would be a sideways step rather than an advancement, but Aubameyang could take the Reds to the next level.

Werner, 21, is not yet the star that Aubameyang is, but his form this year has seen his profile rise considerably, and he made his Germany debut against England on Wednesday.
Sport Bild's Robert Schreier (h/t James Benson of the Daily Star) asked him about a possible switch to Liverpool:
"If you were to play at Anfield and hear the fans sing "You'll Never Walk Alone," it would certainly be something special.
England has a different feel, but I am also still young player.
I feel at home here at RB right now.
Leipzig can continue to grow, and if I could be part it I'd be delighted.
"
As WhoScored.com demonstrated, Aubameyang is one of just three players more prolific than Werner in the Bundesliga this season:
He also has six assists in the German top flight, meaning he has contributed to 20 goals in 24 matches.
Here are some of his best moments:
The youngster would be a good fit under Klopp, as he's already used to playing in a dynamic pressing and counter-attacking system at Leipzig.
It appears he would be open to a move in the future but is sensibly opting to focus on his development at Leipzig for the time being—Liverpool will have to look elsewhere this summer.
