B/R Kicks: Top Releases of the Week
Get your calendars marked up and ready to go. It's time for Bleacher Report Kicks' top releases of the week.
This week's slate features a reimagination of an Air Jordan IV, a gem from Nike's "Time to Shine" pack, two forward-thinking runners and a slept-on hoops gem. With price points flying high, consumers are going to have to be selective, unless they're stacking Bill Gates' bread.
Let's keep the choices rolling and look at what kicks are worthy of your hard-earned dollars.
Air Jordan IV 'Motorsport'
1 of 5
Sneaker: Air Jordan IV "Motorsport"
Release Date: March 25
Price: $190
Michael Jordan's fascination with motorsports has been part of his makeup for a long time. It's not surprising Nike would take said inspiration and turn it into a sneaker.
The Air Jordan IV "Motorsport" arrives on March 25 with a classic white base. Furthering the shoe's agenda, a blue panel was inserted, ranging from the midsole to the ankle, as well as the toe box.
With black detailing enhancing those blue etch lines, the "Motorsport" Jordan IV is able to refresh a longstanding Air Jordan model. The $190 price tag is also on par with most of 2017's Jumpman releases.
Nike KD 9 Elite 'Time to Shine'
2 of 5
Sneaker: Nike KD 9 Elite "Time to Shine"
Release Date: March 25
Price: $150
The arrival of Kevin Durant's KD 9 Elite comes at a time when Durant himself isn't active. However, his absence from the Golden State Warriors' lineup should in no way, shape or form deter people from paying attention to the "Time to Shine" KD 9 Elite.
You can't tell by the colorway, but Nike's "Time to Shine" collection is actually a reflection of the NCAA's March Madness tournament. One difference between the KD 9 and the Elite is the reconstructed Flyknit upper. This add-on increases breathability and levels out weight distribution.
Outside of the Flyknit upper, heavy-duty Flywire cables and a one-piece ankle device have transitioned the shoe in a design capacity that works both on and off the floor—unlike the KD 8 "Elite."
The Nike SNKRS app will host these kicks on March 25 for $150. Considering all of the advances, the price isn't very steep.
Li-Ning Way of Wade 5 'City Flag'
3 of 5
Sneaker: Li-Ning Way of Wade 5 "City Flag"
Release Date: March 25
Price: $160
Basketball enthusiasts could support the notion that Li-Ning's Way of Wade 5 has been one of the best sneakers out there for the 2016-17 season. Blurring the lines of brand loyalty, the Way of Wade 5 has given athletes an alternate path to venture down.
The shoe fits well, offers quantitative support and is remarkably durable.
The "City Flag" edition continues Li-Ning's complex schedule of releases. Delivered in a white, red and aqua colorway, this shoe can be served up for spring. The light hues give the "City Flag" sneaker—named after Chicago's signature flag—a chance to rock off the court, as well as on it.
Priced at $160, outsiders looking to test the waters of the Li-Ning product would be smart to nab a pair.

Nike Air VaporMax 'OG'
4 of 5
Sneaker: Nike Air VaporMax "OG"
Release Date: March 26
Price: $190
Nike continues to perform as an innovation chamber and this Air VaporMax "OG" release is another boundary-pushing endeavor.
The game-plan was about finding a way to provide a visible air unit. Once considered a pipedream, Nike has now achieved that feat with the VaporMax.
All of the cushioning devices remain clear and visible to the naked eye. Aesthetically, it looks like the upper was built separately then it landed, almost like an intergalactic spaceship onto the sole. The design is staggering. It levitates, giving the VaporMax "OG" a distinct presence.
Releasing March 26 on the SNKRS app, the VaporMax "OG" has all the elements for a home run—even with a $190 price tag.
Adidas EQT Support ADV 'Primeknit'
5 of 5
Sneaker: Adidas EQT Support ADV "Primeknit"
Release Date: March 23
Price: $140
Adidas isn't slowing down when it comes to adaptable kicks. The Ultra Boost started the trend, followed by the NMD. Now we have the EQT Support line and this latest excursion into that world, dubbed the ADV "Primeknit."
A full-stretch Primeknit upper receives heavy usage on this silhouette. The design works, creating a zebra-like pattern from top to bottom. This sneaker helps continue a forceful push of the EQT Support line.
New colorways have given life to these kicks. If for some reason you don't like the NMD or Ultra Boost, the EQT Support can help fill that Adidas void.
