Manchester United Transfer News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Talks Napoli, Top Rumours
Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn't played down the idea of possibly joining Serie A side Napoli and ending his Manchester United career after just one season.
The United striker was recently speaking to former England manager Fabio Capello on Fox Sports Italia (h/t James Benson of the Daily Star) when he was asked about links to Napoli: "Me the sun of Naples? You never know."
However, Ibrahimovic also said he is currently content with life at Old Trafford: "But now I'm fine here. Let's see, let's see what happens."

Ibrahimovic's comments appear to contradict those of his agent, Mino Raiola, who recently rebuffed the idea his client will move to Naples. Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss (h/t TalkSport), Raiola sought to shut down the Ibrahimovic-to-Napoli rumours: "Ibra to Napoli? Forget it. Zlatan won't be in Naples [next season]. This dream won't come true."

Ibrahimovic is on a one-year contract with the Red Devils but has the option of extending for another season. Yet the 35-year-old still hasn't used the option despite enjoying a fine first season in Manchester.
Ibrahimovic has scored 26 times in all competitions for United this season, according to WhoScored.com. In the process, the prolific Swede has proved many doubters wrong about his ability to thrive in England's top flight even in the winter of his career.
His performances and contract situation have naturally drawn interest from across the globe. In fact, MLS side LA Galaxy are reportedly ready to make Ibrahimovic their highest earner ever, per Sports Illustrated (h/t TalkSport).
However, it's the links with Napoli that have been the strongest. Those links have been alive for the last month, with Raiola telling Radio CRC (h/t Jack Austin of the Independent) in February how much Ibrahimovic likes Naples: "He knows what the love of the Neapolitans means and that passion has always attracted him."
Of course, Ibrahimovic has a strong history of playing in the Italian top flight. He won Serie A titles with both Inter and AC Milan earlier in his career.

If Ibrahimovic leaves United after just one season, then Italy seems a likely destination for the free-scoring centre-forward.
Luke Shaw Wants to Leave
Ibrahimovic may not be the only player to exit Old Trafford this summer. Left-back Luke Shaw reportedly wants to quit the club, according to Harry Pratt of the Daily Star.
Pratt has revealed how a queue of suitors is growing for England full-back Shaw, with Premier League duo Stoke City and Crystal Palace interested. Championship side Newcastle United are also said to be keen.
Shaw's future does appear to lie beyond Old Trafford for next season. There have been reports the player is unhappy with life under manager Jose Mourinho.

Earlier this month, Paul Hirst of the Sunday Times (h/t Metro's Sean Kearns) revealed how Shaw has been frozen out at United this season. The reports also said Shaw's representatives think Mourinho still harbours resentment over the player's decision not to join him at Chelsea back in 2014.
Shaw's talents aren't being used at United, so it makes sense for him to be thinking about leaving. However, there ought to be some middle ground for a full-back boasting fantastic energy levels, recovery pace and useful technique.
United would be wise to persist a little longer with a defender who still has awesome potential at just 21. The club will also naturally be keen to have a talisman like Ibrahimovic for at least one more year.
