Davon House Signs 1-Year Contract with Packers After 2 Seasons with Jaguars
The Green Bay Packers are boosting their secondary with a familiar face by bringing back cornerback Davon House.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky first reported House was signing a one-year deal with the Packers. Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported House will make roughly $3.5 million in 2017.
The Packers made House a fourth-round pick in 2011 out of New Mexico State. He spent the first four years of his career with the team before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the 2015 season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
House had a breakout season in 2015. The 27-year-old started all 16 games for the first time in his career and recorded a career-high four interceptions and 23 passes defended.
Ben Stockwell of Pro Football Focus noted House allowed a quarterback rating under 80 when targeted two years ago. He struggled to repeat that performance last season, only starting four games without recording an interception.
Per Pro Football Focus, House's coverage grade last season was 43.6 and he didn't have enough snaps to qualify for a positional ranking.
The Packers will give House an opportunity to rebuild his value and, in the process, provide support to a pass defense that allowed the most yards per attempt and second-most total passing yards in 2016.
Green Bay's secondary lost safety Micah Hyde when he signed with the Buffalo Bills and veteran cornerback Sam Shields when he was released.
While he's not a sexy signing that will inspire immediate confidence that things will turn around, House understands defensive coordinator Dom Capers' system and gives the Packers another player who has shown a knack for making plays in the past to help this secondary in 2017.
