2017 NCAA Tournament Odds: North Carolina, Duke Lead March Madness Betting Lines
The ACC is widely regarded as the best conference in college basketball, and that is certainly reflected on the 2017 NCAA tournament odds.
The North Carolina Tar Heels (27-7) and Duke Blue Devils (27-8) are +600 co-favorites (bet $100 to win $600) to cut down the nets at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark after taking their conference's regular-season and tournament championships, respectively.
Duke has beaten North Carolina in two of their last three meetings heading into the NCAA tournament, including a 93-83 victory in the ACC tournament semifinals as a four-point underdog. The Blue Devils were the preseason No. 1 team in the country and won the ACC tournament title over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 75-69 as 4.5-point chalk on Saturday.

The Tar Heels still earned the top seed in the South Regional and could possibly meet Duke a fourth time in the national championship game if both make it that far. The Blue Devils are the second seed in the East Regional behind the defending national champion and top-seeded Villanova Wildcats (31-3), who are the +750 third choice to repeat.
North Carolina has arguably the toughest road to the Final Four though in the South, as the second-seeded Kentucky Wildcats (29-5) and third-seeded UCLA Bruins (29-4) are each lurking in the bottom half of their bracket. The Wildcats are +850 to win it all with the Bruins at +1200, and they have earned 19 national championships between them.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs (32-1) are the top seed in the West Regional for March Madness and listed at +1000 to win the national title. The Bulldogs suffered a 79-71 home loss to the BYU Cougars late in the regular season and were otherwise perfect, but they may have to defeat the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats (30-4) a second time to get to the Final Four for the first time in school history.
The Wildcats won the Pac-12 tournament, and they are +1200 to take home their second national championship, previously winning it all in 1997.
The Kansas Jayhawks (28-4) are the top seed in the Midwest Regional and may have the easiest path to the Final Four. The Jayhawks are +800 to win their fourth national title and may have to deal with the second-seeded Louisville Cardinals (24-8) or third-seeded Oregon Ducks (29-5) in the regional final.
The Cardinals are +1600 to win it all and the Ducks are at +1800, as they are the only other teams in the field listed at less than +2500.
