Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Emre Can and Inaki Williams
Juventus have reportedly made contact with Emre Can's agent as they plan a summer move to sign the Liverpool midfielder, who is stalling on signing a new deal at Anfield.
According to Calciomercato (via the Daily Star's James Walters), Germany international Can is "questioning the Reds' ambition to win trophies," and Juve are looking to prey on his uncertainty and tempt him away from Liverpool.
The 23-year-old's current contract with the Merseyside outfit only runs until the end of next season, so if Can does indeed refuse to put pen to paper on new terms Liverpool may be forced to sell him in the summer to avoid losing him for free.

Previous contract talks between Can and Liverpool reportedly broke down before Christmas and are set to resume again at the end of the season, with manager Jurgen Klopp eager for the midfielder to remain at Anfield, per James Pearce in the Liverpool Echo.
It would be a big blow for Liverpool to lose Can as, while he can be inconsistent, he is a very talented central midfielder.
Per WhoScored.com, he provides solidity in the middle of the park not really offered by any other player in the Reds squad:
Given his youth he is also only likely to improve, but it is understandable that he would be attracted by the potential to move to Juve.
Unlike Liverpool, the Italian giants are perennial title winners and UEFA Champions League contenders and Can may feel his prospects would be improved by moving to Turin.
Meanwhile, Juve have also reportedly entered the race to sign Liverpool target Inaki Williams.
Per Basque newspaper Deia (h/t TalkSport), the Italian giants have contacted Athletic Bilbao about signing their Spanish forward, and they have been scouting Williams, along with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, for a while.

The fact that Juve have made the first move for Williams, 22, could put them ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign him when the transfer window opens.
It has become clear that the Reds need added depth in attack, and Williams could be a fine signing as he can operate both as a centre-forward and on the right flank—so he could provide competition for the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
A little like Can, he has yet to develop into a consistently excellent player but shows flashes of true brilliance.
Per WhoScored, so far in the 2016-17 La Liga season he has netted two goals and provided five assists.
