Glasgow Recap
In the early stages of the contest between the two men from Stoke-on-Trent, Lewis and Taylor could not be separated, with the scores poised precariously at 3-3 after six legs.

The man known as Jackpot then capitalised on some uncharacteristically slack play from Taylor, who missed darts to win both the seventh and the eighth legs. Lewis took them both, and then after hitting 60 in the ninth, he guaranteed himself a point at 6-3.
Taylor tried to rally, although Lewis eventually closed the contest out. Here’s how he did it:
The loss for the Power meant that before he’d even started his match against Wade, Wright, who won the UK Open last weekend, had moved top of the table due to leg difference.
Roared on by the Glasgow crowd, the Scotsman played like the best in the competition to begin with, blitzing his way to a 5-1 advantage with some exceptional finishing, including a 115. However, Wade dug deep to make things interesting.

A finish of 100 seemed to liven up the Machine, as he rattled off three legs in succession, and although Wright moved 6-4 ahead, Wade put himself in position to snatch a draw. However, the man known as Snakebite kept his cool, winning the last leg.
Despite another win and a jump up to the top spot, Wright wasn’t particularly pleased with his display, per Live Darts:
Having missed the previous round with a back problem, Van Gerwen returned to the stage against the vibrant Huybrechts in Scotland.
The Dutchman struggled to find his devastating best for much of the match, with Huybrechts finishing well and applying pressure at the right time. However, with the scores level at 5-5, the Belgian missed four darts to guarantee a point.

Van Gerwen needed one dart to move ahead 6-5, and with momentum behind him in the final leg, he kept his composure to ensure he enjoyed a winning comeback. Per the MvGstats account, it was a solid return to action for the world champion:
In an all-Dutch clash in the penultimate match of the night, Jelle Klaasen looked primed to leave Van Barneveld trailing when he raced into a 4-1 lead. However, the five-time world champion turned it on to win five legs in a row and eventually grab a 7-5 win.
A 154 checkout when he was down 4-1 proved to be the catalyst for a superb comeback from Van Barneveld, who also produced this on his way to victory:
The home crowd got to see another one of their own in action in the last match of the evening, as two-time world champion Anderson took to the oche to rapturous applause against Dave Chisnall.

Energised by the home crowd, the Scotsman was in incredible form to start the match, hammering in the 180s, taking out big finishes and leaving Chisnall looking at a 5-0 deficit.
The man from St. Helens did launch a recovery of sorts, stringing three legs together to send some nerves into the Scottish crowd. But Anderson kept calm, regrouped and upped the ante to clinch a comfortable win.
