Romelu Lukaku also found the net, but he only did it once, meaning Kane is now the sole leader in the standings.
Sergio Aguero was on point in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Sunderland, where Jermain Defoe was held scoreless. Here's a look at the standings following those two matches:

Recap
Sunday's battle at White Hart Lane was easily sold as a clash between Kane and Lukaku, two of the Premier League's top young scorers, and as shared by Bleacher Report UK, the England international prevailed:
Kane has been in absurd form of late, scoring eight goals in his last four matches across all competitions. Spurs won three of those contests―the one they didn't was the UEFA Europa League match against Gent in which he was held at bay.
It just shows how pivotal the 23-year-old has become. On Sunday, he bagged the first two goals of the match before Dele Alli, Lukaku and Enner Valencia added their names to the scoresheet.
Alli has also been in fantastic form of late and comfortably holds a spot in the top 10 of the scorers' list, a remarkable achievement for a midfielder.
But it was his team-mate who soaked up the headlines, and afterwards, he didn't hide how excited he was with his showing:
Spurs thoroughly outplayed Everton on Sunday, especially in the first half, and Lukaku's goal was one of the few bright spots for the fans. Valencia's late strike had some hoping the Toffees could steal a result, but that certainly wouldn't have been deserved.
The result leaves Everton five points behind Manchester United and the race for Europe, although United's EFL Cup triumph could open the door for an additional team.
Aguero used his experience to open the scoring against Sunderland, finding himself in the right place to tap home a chance thanks to a smart run.
As shared by former England international Gary Lineker, those kind of goals aren't as easy as they seem:
Leroy Sane put the final score on the board, condemning Sunderland to yet another defeat. Time is starting to run out for the Black Cats and star forward Defoe, who will be a popular target in the summer if his team does get relegated.
