Chelsea Transfer News: Djibril Sidibe, Thomas Lemar Eyed in Latest Blues Rumours
Chelsea are reportedly looking at Monaco duo Djibril Sidibe and Thomas Lemar as they seek to strengthen their wing-back options in the summer, despite handing Victor Moses a new contract.
According to The Telegraph's Matt Law, while Moses and Marcos Alonso have both been excellent this season, the Blues are preparing their squad to compete on four fronts next year, with UEFA Champions League football virtually guaranteed at this point, and have identified Sidibe and Lemar among their options.
Sidibe is a full-back who can play on either flank, while Lemar tends to operate on the left wing but, like Moses, could perhaps be withdrawn into the wing-back position.

The duo have had excellent seasons, though they've often been kept out of the limelight by similarly excellent team-mates such as Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Here is how the pair's Ligue 1 numbers for the season compare, courtesy of Squawka:
| Apps | 22 | 23 |
| Minutes | 1,851 | 1,783 |
| Goals | 2 | 7 |
| Assists | 4 | 6 |

| Interceptions | 37 | 23 |

Naturally, Sidibe has contributed more defensively and Lemar offensively, reflecting the positions in which they've played.
The former, 24, is strong going forward in his own right, though, and he scored six goals in all competitions last season with Lille, as well as helping the French side concede just 27 goals in Ligue 1, bettered only by Paris Saint-Germain.
Here are some of his highlights since making the switch to Monaco in the summer:
As for Lemar, he is only 21 and a thoroughly exciting prospect who boasts an excellent passing range and improving eye for goal.
The Frenchman's dribbling has also been impressive this season, per Squawka Football:
Monaco recently showcased their talents on the European stage when they played out a 5-3 thriller with Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
Sidibe and Lemar did not impress French football writers Rich Allen and Mohammed Ali during the defeat, however:
There's evidently still room for the pair to improve, but both players are still developing their games—Lemar in particular.
Moses looked to have no future at Stamford Bridge, but under manager Antonio Conte, he has blossomed into a key player for the Blues this season.
With the Italian's tutelage, Sidibe or Lemar could continue their impressive growth and be excellent acquisitions for the Blues as they add to their depth for next year.
