Report: Joe Gomez Will Miss Champions League Tie vs. Manchester City with Injury
Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is now a doubt for the Reds' upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final clashes against Manchester City after picking up an ankle injury while on international duty with England.
He was forced off after just 10 minutes of the Three Lions' 1-0 friendly win over the Netherlands on Friday. Although initial scans do not show serious damage, he is set to be sidelined for up to a month, per ESPN FC.
The first leg of Liverpool's last-eight tie with City is at Anfield on April 4, with the second leg scheduled for April 10. Gomez could also be a doubt for the Premier League matches against Crystal Palace, Everton and Bournemouth.

Gomez is already well-acquainted with the Liverpool treatment table after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament in October 2015, a blow that kept the former Charlton Athletic star sidelined for 52 matches, per Transfermarkt.
After coming back from that knee ailment, Gomez next suffered an Achilles injury in July 2016 and didn't return until November in the same year.
Gomez was brought to Anfield from the Valley in the summer of 2015 and quickly made a grand impression under then-manager Brendan Rodgers as a left-back.
The 20-year-old has become a useful asset to manager Jurgen Klopp during a recent prolonged period of fitness owing to the fact he is comfortable at centre-back or on either side of defence.
Gomez has begun to establish himself as a starting figure at Liverpool in 2017-18, and he will be a big miss for Liverpool and Klopp while he is sidelined.
