Prospects Watch: Week Six

Eric GalkoOct 9, 2009

Each week, www.NFLHouse.com and the Optimum Scouting Department will be bringing you the top prospects for the 2010 NFL Draft that we will be in-depth scouting each week. Here are the best matchups of the college football weekend.

Tim Tebow vs. LSU Pass Rush

Tebow has yet to impress me, and most other scouts, this season. He is currently viewed as a mid- to last-third rounder by most scouts. However, if he can show that he can move well while evading the always dominate LSU pass rush and reposition and make accurate throws, that will impress many. Unfortunately, Tebow has been recovering all week and may be limited in the game.

Brandon LaFell vs. Florida Secondary

While the Gator secondary, most notably Joe Haden, has struggled this season, they still have immense talent. LaFell is one of the most talented receivers in the country and a likely first rounder in 2010. He needs to help out his sophomore quarterback Jordan Jefferson and be a playmaker if the Tigers hope to pull off the upset.

Brandon Graham vs. Brian Bulaga, Kyle Calloway

Graham is one of the better defensive end pass rushers in the draft this year and will look to continue the Michigan defensive end train to the NFL. However, some great offensive linemen have come through Iowa over the years, and Bulaga may be the best of the bunch. He and Kyle Calloway form one of the best offensive tackle combos in college and should prove to matchup well against Graham.

Patrick Robinson vs. Demaryius Thomas

Demaryius Thomas may be the best receiver you've never heard of. Thomas had eight big catches for Georgia Tech last week, and the quarterback only threw 11 times. Thomas is always the focus in the passing game, yet he still makes great plays. Many other senior corners have impressed this season thus far, so Robinson needs to step up in this matchup if he hopes to keep himself in the first two-round area.

Jevan Snead vs. Javier Arenas, Kareem Jackson

Arenas and Jackson form arguably the best secondary in the loaded SEC and should give Jevan Snead headaches all game long. After a disappointing game against South Carolina on Thursday night, Snead needs to rebound big time.
