Sean FayJan 22, 2017

Remember Haidar Mustafa? He's the brave young boy who survived a bombing in Beirut, Lebanon, that tragically took the lives of both of his parents.

Haidar, now four years old, was offered some comfort when an online movement helped set up a meeting between the young football fan and his hero Cristiano Ronaldo.

Well now, according to The Sun, his uncle is hoping to bring Haidar to the UK, and he has the backing of Ronaldo.

Haidar's uncle Mohammad lives in central London and told the newspaper of his wish:

"

Haidar has been through hell. We hope authorities will let us bring him up as part of our family. The only thing that would make him happier than meeting Ronaldo is being a British citizen.

"

The paper has also said that Ronaldo has backed the plan, by passing on a message to Haidar that said:

"

I am happy to hear you are well and wish you all the best for your future wherever you may live. Follow your dreams and work hard to make them come true.

"

The Sun reports that Mohammad and wife Layal have already been named as Haidar's legal guardians by the courts in Lebanon and have submitted the paperwork with British authorities to get Haidar to London on a permanent basis.
