Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'Killed' Manchester United Move Doubters, Says Mino Raiola
Mino Raiola, the agent for Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, believes the striker has "killed" any doubts over his ability to succeed in the Premier League.
The mercurial Swede joined the Red Devils over the summer after four tremendous years with Paris Saint-Germain. Yet, despite his success in France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, plenty were unsure whether Ibrahimovic would be able to thrive in English football.
With 11 Premier League goals from 16 appearances already, Ibrahimovic has made those naysayers look a little silly, and speaking to TalkSport (h/t Rory O'Callaghan of MailOnline), Raiola lauded the 35-year-old's talent:

"He's a revelation for England. For the rest of the world, it is not a revelation. It was one of our goals to show what he could do. It was always one of our goals to show what he could do in the Premier League. He killed everybody who had doubts.
"

This graphic from Bleacher Report UK sums up how successful Ibrahimovic has been at the highest level for so long:
It's a level he looks capable of maintaining for a while yet, too, with Raiola adding there is a "big chance" Ibrahimovic could sign on for another season at Old Trafford. The striker's representative also revealed the veteran turned down some lucrative offers to move to United.
"He chose not to take it to come to England. The boy is not done yet," Raiola ominously noted. "He still has the fire, he wants to win, to perform."
That fire is evident in the way the striker approaches the game. In the nascent stages of his career as a United player, there's been an edge to Ibrahimovic's play, especially in front of goal, where he's showcased an ability to score many different types of goals.

But the former PSG man's influence extends beyond the amount of times he puts the ball in the back of the net. The striker is a menacing presence up top, able to hold off defenders with ease, link the play and escape the attentions of defenders with his clever movement in the penalty area.
For a man who should be in the twilight of his career, he's in impeccable physical shape, too. This statistic from WhoScored (via ESPN FC's Miguel Delaney) is a testament to his longevity:
And despite all he's accomplished already, Raiola noted the forward still has some goals. "His ultimate goal is to win the Premier League," he said. "It's the only league he's played in that he's yet to win."

Given United are 13 points back of league leaders Chelsea, that's a prize Ibrahimovic is unlikely to get his hands on at the end of this season. Not only are the Blues in imperious form as things stand, with 11 wins notched on the bounce, but there are another four teams between sixth-placed United and the summit.
But with Ibrahimovic set to stay for another season, there will be an extra drive for him to clinch the title in 2017-18. Given how well he's performed this term so far for the Red Devils, that's an exciting prospect for all associated with the Old Trafford outfit.
