Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Lionel Messi and Victor Moses
Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune are reportedly prepared to pay Lionel Messi €500 million (£420 million) in an attempt to lure him away from Barcelona.
According to Sky Sports (via AS), the Far Eastern club are hoping to hijack Barca's negotiations to tie Messi to extended terms past 2018 by offering him a five-year deal worth €100 million per year after tax.
Per AS, Barca are offering the 29-year-old superstar a new contract worth around €35 million (£29.4 million) and are confident that he will stay on.

However, should the offer from Hebei China Fortune be genuine then Messi would surely at least consider accepting such staggering amounts of money.
Despite missing out on the 2016 Ballon d'Or, the Argentinian remains arguably the best player in the world and has been with Barcelona since 2001, winning eight La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions Leagues.
His level of performance has stayed stunningly consistent for many years now and, as he nears 30, the most likely eventuality is that he will sign a new deal with Barca and continue to win trophies with the Catalan club.
A move to the Chinese Super League for European-based players has become more common of late, as the likes of Hulk, Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez have been lured by the huge sums of money on offer.
Messi moving to China would be a huge surprise, though, and despite the staggering sums of money reportedly on the table, it seems unlikely to happen in the near future.
Meanwhile, Chelsea's Victor Moses remains on Barcelona's radar as the Blaugrana search for a new right-back.

Per Sport, the Nigeria international is among a group of targets that includes Southampton's Cedric Soares, CSKA Moscow's Mario Fernandes, AS Roma's Bruno Peres and AS Monaco's Djibril Sidibe.
The report added that Barca's No. 1 target is Valencia's Joao Cancelo, but Moses has become a possibility since his successful conversion into a wing-back by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
Given how important he has become at Chelsea and the fact he is contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2019, the Blues would likely be loath to let Moses go. But Barca could still make a move for him if they cannot get Cancelo.
