Arsenal Transfer News: Huge Alexis Sanchez Offer from China, Latest Rumours
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is reportedly being offered a £400,000-per-week deal to move to the Chinese Super League as the Gunners continue their attempt to tie him to a new contract.
According to John Cross in the Mirror, the Chilean forward has been approached by Chinese clubs and agents as they try to take advantage of Sanchez's negotiations with Arsenal over new terms—his current deal expires in 2018.
Cross added that Sanchez, 27, is driving a hard bargain with Arsenal and wants to be the club's highest earner, with the north London outfit concerned he "may not re-sign."

He has a legitimate case to be the top-paid player at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez has been brilliant this season as he has played almost exclusively as a No. 9, netting 11 Premier League goals and providing four assists so far in 2016-17 in 14 appearances, per WhoScored.com.
Per Cross, he currently earns £130,000 per week at Arsenal, but to become the club's highest-paid star he would likely have to be offered a deal worth more than £200,000 per week.
That is nowhere near the wages he is reportedly being offered by Chinese outfits, but Sanchez would likely sacrifice the higher earning potential in the Far East to continue playing in the UEFA Champions League and Premier League.
| Season | Appearances (as a sub) | Minutes | Goals | Assists |
| 2016-17 | 13(1) | 1179 | 11 | 4 |
| 2015-16 | 28(2) | 2446 | 13 | 4 |
| 2014-15 | 34(1) | 2953 | 16 | 8 |
He is the calibre of player that should be winning titles and, so far in his Gunners career, he has claimed just one FA Cup.
However, if he keeps up his current form Arsenal should mount a genuine challenge for the Premier League in 2016-17 while they have qualified top of their group in the Champions League.
The prospects are good for Arsenal at the moment, in no small part thanks to Sanchez, so they should do everything they can to keep him at the club beyond 2018.
It is unlikely he would want to remove himself from the limelight of European football to move to China, but if Arsenal refuse to meet his demands there will be plenty of other major clubs prepared to offer him a way out.
