Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Adam Lallana and Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool star Adam Lallana has reportedly drawn interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who are said to be preparing a January move for the Reds midfielder. Elsewhere, Manchester City have joined the hunt for Virgil van Dijk.
The Sun's Mick McGrath reported that not only are PSG willing to pay a staggering £40 million in order to land Lallana but would also offer the England international £200,000 per week to make the move to Paris. An insider is quoted as saying: "Adam is seen as a player of real quality in the Premier League."
The news comes just as Lallana's injury-enforced absence appears to have upset Liverpool's rhythm in attack, with the club drawing 0-0 at Southampton before having to wait until the 75th minute for their first goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over Sunderland.

PSG appear to have identified former Saints star Lallana as the brains behind the Merseyside outfit, although manager Jurgen Klopp has said his side can be effective going forward without the playmaker, per Anfield HQ:
McGrath said PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert is a particular fan of Lallana, who would be in line to earn almost three times his current £70,000-per-week wages if he did move to the French capital.
The 28-year-old has risen to become something of an essential figure under Klopp, and Liverpool writer Dave O'Connell agreed his presence has been sorely missed by the Reds of late:
However, the chances of Klopp selling such an essential figure in the winter window seem slim, and Liverpool would be wise to keep their boss content by retaining their strongest assets.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star Sunday's Paul Hetherington wrote that City are the latest club to register interest in Liverpool target Van Dijk, who has drawn major plaudits this season, one of which came from football writer Liam Canning:
The Reds have formed a habit of pillaging talent from St. Mary's Stadium in recent years, and Van Dijk could follow the likes of Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne by joining the Liverpool revolution.
Klopp had his chance to get a hands-on look at the Netherlands international when Southampton and Liverpool drew 0-0 earlier in November, with Paddy Power picking the Dutchman out as a clear man of the match:
However, the Citizens are one of the few Premier League clubs who could present a more tantalising option to Van Dijk, and manager Pep Guardiola has reason to invest in his back line, as captain Vincent Kompany's injury woes endure.
Van Dijk has proved himself to be a competent, technical central defender since joining the Saints from Celtic in 2015, boasting free-kick skills to boot. City's entry into the race for his signature could be an obstacle to Liverpool.
