Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours, Players Linked to Arsene Wenger's Gunners
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly lining up a move for Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus in the event Alexis Sanchez departs the Emirates Stadium. Meanwhile, it's been revealed interest in Torino striker Andrea Belotti is high across Europe.
According to the Mirror's John Cross, Arsenal have identified Reus as their "contingency plan" to prepare for a Sanchez departure, with the Chile attacker still locked in contract talks with his employers.
Wenger is described as a "huge fan" of Reus in the report, and it's believed the north Londoners could prepare a big-money swoop for the Germany international as they look to preserve their quality in the forward line.

Many might agree Reus fits the Gunners' style in many ways, and one attribute the supporting striker certainly shares with Wenger's side is his injury record, per Squawka:
Sanchez earns a substantial salary of £130,000 a week at the Emirates, but the South American is reportedly seeking a wage hike to £200,000 a week, complete with a buyout clause, in his next contract.
With the attacker's deal expiring in a little more than 18 months—Sanchez's contract runs until June 2018—the club may be forced into accepting there may not be a happy ending to negotiations unless they break their wage structure.
Reus, on the other hand, may have lower expectations due to the fact he's played his entire career in the Bundesliga, where salaries are typically lower on average when compared to the Premier League.
Last month, Reus' Signal Iduna Park team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was asked by the official Bundesliga website what it meant to the Black and Yellows to see his partner in crime return, to which he replied:
"It's a good sign that he's back training again. We need Marco. I sent him a message not long ago, telling him to keep believing in himself. I also told him personally how important his return is for the whole team. Not just me, but the team, the club – everybody's standing behind him. We all hope he'll be back on the field soon.
"
Elsewhere, Arsenal face a serious fight in getting their hands on Torino talisman Belotti, who is said to be the subject of interest from Arsenal, as well as Liverpool, Everton and Borussia Dortmund, to name a few clubs.
That's according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb (h/t Goal), and the official UEFA Euro 2016 Twitter account recently pointed to the striker's terrific scoring form for both club and country this season:
Despite signing Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer, Arsenal could still do with another attacking force as their Spanish forward has failed to have any impact due to injury.
Belotti has scored eight times in 11 Serie A appearances this season, but a throng of Premier League suitors look likely to contend for the Azzurri frontman's services, meaning the Gunners face a duel to land their target.
