Arsenal have been rocked by the news that Alexis Sanchez could be absent for a period of time after suffering an ankle injury in the 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chris Wheatley of Goal quoted manager Arsene Wenger commenting about the fresh injury for the Chile superstar, saying: "His ankle doesn't look good."
Sanchez continued after receiving a heavy challenge and was eventually substituted in the second half, with the Gunners chasing the game.

The attacker is among the team's most important players, bringing pace, tenacity and creativity into the final third.
His unquenchable thirst for victory is perhaps unrivalled in Arsenal's squad—a mentality the Gunners need more of in the team and possibly the most crucial quality he brings.
The Chilean typically operates on the flanks, but he has done well after being moved into a central role this season, where he's helped mitigate Arsenal's lack of a world-class, out-and-out striker.
Arsenal still have Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez to call upon up top and the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to fill in out wide, but it's a significant blow to lose one of their biggest goal threats.
In his absence, the Gunners' other forward players will need to raise their own games to ensure Arsenal stay on the right track.
