Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Kasper Dolberg, Sergio Aguero Rumours
Manchester City and Premier League rivals Chelsea have reportedly been scouting Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg. The title-chasing duo from England's top flight are also expected to continue keeping tabs on the precocious 19-year-old when he makes his international debut for Denmark.
MailOnline's Simon Jones has detailed the extent of City's interest in the young attacker: "Chelsea and Manchester City are expected to make further checks on Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg when he makes his debut for Denmark on Friday."
Jones also revealed how City and the Blues haven't been the only representatives from the Premier League running the rule over the latest youthful sensation within the Ajax ranks: "Manchester United scout Marcel Bout was in the stands last Thursday alongside representatives from City and Chelsea as Dolberg scored in the 3-2 Europa League win over Celta Vigo."

Dolberg is already highly regarded in Amsterdam after being unearthed by a talent-spotter with a prolific track record in Denmark, per Jones: "Dolberg moved to Ajax in the summer of 2015 after he was discovered by John Steen Olsen—the same scout who discovered Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eriksen and Fischer for the Amsterdam outfit."
As Jones pointed out, Dolberg is contracted with the Eredivisie club until 2021. Yet it's easy to believe interest from City could easily turn his head.
Manager Pep Guardiola boasts a reputation and track record few other dugout generals in football can match. The City chief has built both by emphasising a stylish brand of football based on neat, intelligent passing and fluid movement.
Guardiola's style makes him an attractive manager for players to work with. So does his willingness to give talented youngsters a chance.
He's shown that same willingness since taking over at City in the summer. Guardiola has already spent big on 20-year-old German forward Leroy Sane and 22-year-old England centre-back John Stones.

Ajax have become increasingly reliant on the big money offered by Europe's richest clubs for the gifted gems they unearth. Dolberg could be the next prospect to encourage such an offer.
He could even end up at City, where he'd give Guardiola another promising goal-getter to go along with 20-year-old Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho.
Ilkay Gundogan Believes Sergio Aguero will Stay
Sergio Aguero won't leave City for Real Madrid. At least that's what midfield man Ilkay Gundogan believes, per Gary Stonehouse of the Sun: “I think he will stay here. I have no doubt about that."
Gundogan also favourably compared Aguero to his former team-mate Robert Lewandowski: “Lewandowski, of course, is taller, but both are very strong and are able to keep the ball. And Sergio, he’s just a goal machine. I mean if he has the chances to score then 90–95 per cent of the time he will score."

Gundogan played with Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund and knows what the prolific Poland international can do. A favourable comparison with Lewandowski is high praise indeed, but praise Aguero merits.
The Argentinian has already scored 11 times in both domestic and UEFA Champions League action this season, according to WhoScored.com. On this form, it's no wonder City's free-scoring No. 10 is attracting interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
The Daily Mirror's John Cross recently revealed Aguero is on a list of two strikers, also featuring Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Los Blancos could pursue. But it will depend on Real avoiding serving a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
Meanwhile, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are also keen, according to Neil Fissler of the Sunday Express. It's quite a list of suitors forming for Aguero.
However, he'd be wise to stay at City and continue working under Guardiola. As Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News pointed out, Aguero is actually improving this season:
"He is averaging 0.89 goals per game, as opposed to 0.80 last season. But he is also creating 1.22 chances per game, when last season it was 0.90. He is having more shots, and hitting the target more frequently. Also significant is the fact he is now hitting an average of 7.89 touches in the opposition box, up from 7.47 last season.
"
Since Guardiola took over, City aren't quite as reliant on Aguero as they were in the days when Manuel Pellegrini was in charge. Yet he's still vital in their pursuit of major trophies.
It's difficult to see City winning either the league title or the Champions League without him. So Guardiola should do all he can to make sure Aguero's head isn't turned by Real.
Even so, it wouldn't hurt for City to step up their efforts to find and acquire their next striking star.
