Start Or Sit Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy in Fantasy Football?
How many ways can you split 171.8 yards?
That's what the fantasy football owners of Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy and the Philadelphia Eagles are asking themselves as they prepare to face Tampa Bay, which boasts the third-worst rush defense in the NFL.
Before you can figure out how to split the yardage you must first determine how big of a workload Westbrook can handle coming off of an ankle injury.
Now, he did have the bye week to rest, but the Eagles have legitimate Super Bowl hopes and if Westy is already ailing the Eagles will have to take it easy on him.
One thing making the decision to rest Westbrook easier was the 20-carry, 84-yard performance McCoy had in Week Three when he recorded his first career touchdown.
As of Tuesday it looks like both players will play, making the lineup decision tougher for waiver wire hopefuls who invested in McCoy—but it doesn't mean he's not a great start.
With the Eagles hosting the 0-4 Bucs, it's looking like an easy victory for Philly. That means they won't be relying on Westbrook's experience to score tough red zone TDs.
McCoy is already the better option for yards and receptions because he looks to get more total snaps and his elite quickness gives him that desired big play potential.
Looking at the matchups across the league I can argue McCoy as a top-10 fantasy back for Week Five while Westbrook is looking like a potential sit.
The only thing holding McCoy back will be if Westbrook scores an early TD, but the quicker the Eagles can get a lead the sooner they will rest their established star and bleed clock with their young legs.
