Swansea City vs. Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp's Key Pre-Match Press Conference Quotes
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has encouraged defender Mamadou Sakho to show the right attitude as he seeks to regain his spot in the first team at Anfield.
The centre-back has been marginalised after a tough time on Merseyside and is yet to appear for the senior team this season; Sakho was sent home from the club's pre-season tour in the United States for "repeatedly breaking club rules," per James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.
After the player was given a runout for the under-23s on Wednesday, Klopp was asked about the defender's prospects at his weekly press-conference ahead of Saturday's showdown with Swansea City.

"Work hard is the rule for every player," he told the assembled media, per Rory Brigstock-Barron of the Daily Mirror. "I spoke to Mama and now we carry on."
You sense Sakho still has a long way to go before he's back in the starting XI on a regular basis for the Reds. Although he's a popular player at Anfield with the fans, the 26-year-old has clearly left Klopp miffed with some of his conduct.
Nevertheless, the Frenchman stated on Twitter he was just pleased to get back on the field:
The other major roadblock for Sakho is the current form of the Liverpool team. Klopp's men have played some wonderful football in the early weeks of the Premier League season, with Hull City the latest side to feel the wrath of the Reds' attacking setup in a 5-1 rout.
Swansea, with just four points accrued so far, are big underdogs for this clash at the Liberty Stadium. However, after losing in Wales last term, Klopp is taking nothing for granted, per Pearce:
Liverpool's UEFA Europa League commitments meant that last term the manager selected a second-string side for this fixture. However, with no continental action on the agenda at Anfield this term, the Reds will be at full strength and full throttle against the Swans.
Indeed, Klopp suggested that despite their fine beginning to the season—which has included wins over the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City and Chelsea—the players will not be complacent:
Per Liverpool's official Twitter feed, the manager added that he expects his squad to get even better in the weeks to come:
"In this part of the season you create a base for the rest of the season," the German added, per Brigstock-Barron. "We have a job to do. We need to stay fit and have luck."

What will be fascinating is the team Klopp selects, with so many attacking players in fine form. Typically, there are four spots in the final third, meaning one of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge may miss out.
A player who's been providing a supporting role in this area so far this term is Divock Origi, although Klopp revealed he's a doubt for this one:
The former Borussia Dortmund boss was also asked for his opinions on the investigations conducted by the Daily Telegraph this week, which saw England manager Sam Allardyce leave his post and the subsequent allegations of corruption in football:
Although Liverpool struggled in this game in 2015-16, they arrive at the Liberty Stadium in much better shape this time round. The inventiveness and fluidity of their attacking play coupled with the intensity at the core of Klopp's philosophies has led to some thrilling football. It's tough to see quite how the struggling hosts will cope.
Liverpool have negotiated a testing start well, especially given their first three games were all away from home. Three points in Saturday's clash would send all associated with the club into the upcoming international break delighted at the work that Klopp and his team have conducted.
