Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Joe Hart and Reece Oxford
Torino are reportedly hoping to make Joe Hart's loan move from Manchester City a permanent transfer.
That's according to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Ciaran Kelly of the Manchester Evening News), with the Serie A outfit potentially able to sign the goalkeeper—who would seemingly be receptive to the move—for just £1.7 million.
Per football writer Paolo Bandini, the 29-year-old has worked hard to integrate himself in his new surroundings:

Torino's fans appear to have welcomed Hart with open arms in kind, per ItalianFootballDaily:

After a debut to forget against Atalanta, Hart put in a steadier performance in his next game, as demonstrated by Squawka Football:
Another solid outing saw him keep another clean sheet away to Pescara, and on Sunday, he helped his side to a 3-1 win over AS Roma.
Il Toro manager Sinisa Mihajlovic hailed Hart's impact on the squad, per PA Sport (h/t Sky Sports):
"We signed Hart for his enthusiasm, spirit and experience. Before he arrived I spoke to him to understand his spirit.
He is a great guy and a wonderful professional, an international level goalkeeper with great charisma. His presence makes the rest of the team feel more confident.

The England international seems to have no future at the Etihad Stadium after being moved on by manager Pep Guardiola, barring a serious injury to Claudio Bravo.
While a stopper of his ability could—and perhaps should—be turning out for a UEFA Champions League side, it's unsurprising Torino would appeal given how much appreciation he's received there, particularly after being cast aside by Guardiola.
As Kelly notes, however, his wages would be an issue. Per BBC Sport, the Sky Blues are subsidising some of his pay—to make the move permanent, the Italian club would either need to shoulder the full burden of his salary or he'd have to be willing to take a pay cut.
Hart will have plenty of time to consider his options next summer, and as he'll most likely be available to move from the outset—unlike this year, where he was left scrambling for a new club in the final weeks of the transfer window—he'll probably have several destinations to choose from, including Torino.

Meanwhile, City could be set to beat rivals Manchester United to West Ham United starlet Reece Oxford, according to the Guardian's Gregg Bakowski.
Bleacher Report UK's Dean Jones reported the two teams as interested in the defender, though he believes United to be the more likely destination:
Oxford featured 14 times for the Hammers last year and caught the eye on his Premier League debut, where he put in an outstanding performance against Arsenal while playing as a holding midfielder.
The Hammers have lost five of their six league games this year and conceded 16 goals, but the 17-year-old is yet to feature outside of the UEFA Europa League preliminaries.
He may still have a future at the London Stadium—it's wholly possible that manager Slaven Bilic has not wanted to drop the teenager in at the deep end during a difficult time for the team lest it damage his confidence—but the appeal of working under Guardiola would be a tempting one.
If he does move, City can't be counted out.
