Arsenal Transfer News: Bruma to Be Scouted Amid Manchester United, Spurs Rumours
Arsenal are reportedly one of a clutch of Premier League sides keeping tabs on Galatasaray winger Bruma.
That’s according to the Turkish Football website, where it’s stated that aside from the Gunners, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham United have also made their interest known in the 21-year-old.
In the piece, it’s suggested United boss Jose Mourinho has advised his scouting team to keep a close eye on the Galatasaray player after he impressed against the Red Devils during a pre-season match between the two sides.

Arsenal will reportedly watch him in this weekend's Istanbul derby between Besiktas and Galatasaray.
Bruma is an exciting young winger and a key part of Jan Olde Riekerink’s Galatasaray side. Here’s a look at what he brings to the team:
When he burst onto the scene as a youngster with Sporting Lisbon in 2013, the Portugal youth international seemed destined for the top of the game.
Bruma has breathtaking speed, a wonderful ability to change direction quickly and an array of tricks to puzzle defenders. But after joining Galatasaray his progress stalled, with a long-term knee injury scuppering much of his debut term.

In 2014-15, he failed to make much of an impact in the starting XI and was loaned to Real Sociedad the following campaign, showcasing a little more consistency in La Liga.
Gradually, he’s rediscovered the spark he had at Sporting and, back with the Istanbul club, he has started this term well.
As these numbers from WhoScored.com show, in terms of committing defenders, no player has done better than Bruma in the Turkish top flight:
It’s little surprise that some of the Premier League’s elite teams are taking a good look at the youngster. Granted, he’s not made the kind of progress many anticipated three years ago, but there are so many positive attributes in Bruma’s game. If they were harnessed correctly, he could be a force.
The chance to join a club like Arsenal would surely appeal to the youngster.
He may be available for a cut-price amount. Football journalist Andy Brassell noted during the summer that Galatasaray weren’t demanding a huge fee for the player:
What’s vital for Bruma is stability. Since leaving Sporting, there has been so much disruption in his career due to injuries and loan moves. If he is to develop into a top-class winger, he needs to find a home where he can play consistently; the early signs this season are that Galatasaray may be able to provide him with that.
Arsenal aren’t in dire need of a wide player either, with Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all significant threats on the flanks.
While Bruma may be capable of offering something a little different, a couple of seasons developing in Istanbul are surely preferable in what remain the early stages of his career.
