WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from September 19
Just days from the first Raw-exclusive pay-per-view event, the red brand produced an episode that steadily built feuds that will culminate Sunday night, and in the process presented Seth Rollins in a way that made him the night's undisputed biggest winner.
The Architect kicked off the night's in-ring action with an inspiring performance against Rusev. Formerly two heels, the competitors had never crossed paths until Monday's show. They gave fans a taste of what they were missing all of that time and left them wanting more, courtesy of a count-out finish that protected both men.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
From there, he planted the seeds of dissension within the happy marriage of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, something that may have long-reaching effects on Mondays.
To put an exclamation point on his busy night, he scaled a steel cage and jumped off, wiping out Rusev and Kevin Owens at the end of the night, building momentum for himself ahead of Sunday's extravaganza.
For the first time since the unofficial turn a few weeks back, Rollins was treated like a legitimate babyface, and he will benefit at Clash of Champions, where he battles Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. Fans will be more emotionally invested in him now that lines have clearly been drawn, and that will enhance the heat surrounding the match.
A worker who is at his best fighting from underneath rather than controlling the pace of the match with generic rest holds, Rollins will likely see an uptick in the quality of his in-ring production, too.
Monday night was a banner one for Rollins, who now enters the fall primed to be the lead good guy in Vince McMahon's Monday night morality play.
Winner: Brian Kendrick
The winner of Monday's cruiserweight showcase now heads to Clash of Champions to battle T.J. Perkins for the newly created WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
Kendrick was the only established persona in the multiman match that also included Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik. It makes the most sense that, on such short notice, he would be the choice to head to Clash of Champions for the title shot against Perkins.
His is also an easy story to tell.
The former star looking for one last championship run at age 37, fans can get behind the idea of the eccentric performer fighting for the gold Sunday night.
His win was a great way to reintroduce him to the WWE Universe while giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the cruiserweights going forward.
Loser: Bayley
How many times is WWE Creative going to beat Bayley before Clash of Champions?
She lost last week while preserving Dana Brooke's heat and ate the pinfall in Monday's tag team match. Those are two straight losses that did not have to happen. Bayley should be protected and preserved. The closest thing to a female franchise star the roster has, she should not be taking losses at such a rapid pace this early in her main roster stint.
Sure, she got over as the consummate underdog, but she has developed into a strong and confident former champion who should be a poster girl for the company. She deserves more respect from the booking team.
Then again, the way WWE tells stories, the consecutive losses could be precursors to a championship win Sunday night.
Winners: Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens
The WWE universal champion and the leader of the Roman Empire delivered their second consecutive outstanding main event.
The chemistry they have with each other is that of the best pairings in recent WWE history. They have yet to have a bad or disappointing match together and somehow managed to build on their near-classic a week ago with an equally enthralling match to cap off this week's broadcast.
While they may be on different paths heading into Clash of Champions, it may not be a bad thing for WWE Creative to bring them back together after Sunday's pay-per-view extravaganza.
The WWE Universe responded favorably to both matches, even going as far as to cheer Reigns, a rarity in today's wrestling landscape. A revisiting of the match is in order.
