Team Canada announced that Ryan O'Reilly of the Buffalo Sabres would take Seguin's place on the roster.
How Seguin's Injury Impacts Stars
The Stars will certainly feel the effects of the injury if Seguin is forced to miss an extended period of time. The 24-year-old player ranked second on the team with 73 points last season, trailing only Jamie Benn, while contributing to the top-scoring offense in the NHL.
A calf injury limited Seguin to one playoff appearance, however, and the St. Louis Blues knocked the Stars out in the second round.
