Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Mahmoud Dahoud and Antonio Adan Rumours
Liverpool will reportedly face competition from Juventus to sign Borussia Monchengladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud next year.
According to Italian paper Tuttosport (h/t football writer Kristian Sturt), the Bianconeri will target the Syrian-born German youth international in next summer's transfer window.
Dahoud broke into the senior team last year and rapidly established himself as a key player alongside Granit Xhaka in central midfield.

Football journalist Tony Barrett reported that the Reds were linked with a move for him this summer, while BT Sport's Raphael Honigstein revealed himself to be an admirer of the 20-year-old:
A skillful box-to-box midfielder, Dahoud possesses an excellent passing range and is an excellent dribbler, too, as noted by WhoScored.com:
Dahoud is a real goal threat from distance and an effective creator to boot—he racked up five goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga last season.
The youngster works tirelessly to press and harry opponents, which would fit in well with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp's philosophy, though on occasion he can be guilty of pushing himself too hard.
Here's a look at some of his highlights from last year:

| Apps | 32 |
| Goals | 5 |
| Assists | 8 |
| Chances Created | 31 |
| Take-Ons | 32 |
| Tackles | 46 |

| Passing Accuracy | 84% |
Dahoud is already well on his way to becoming an intelligent and cultured player and still has plenty of potential to grow even further—he could be a top-level competitor in the not-too-distant future.
At Juventus, he could become a long-term replacement for Paul Pogba. Landing him ahead of the Bianconeri will be difficult for the Reds; a strong campaign and a place in the UEFA Champions League would help.
Meanwhile, according to AS (h/t the Mirror's Aaron Flanagan), the Reds—along with Napoli and Everton—were rejected by Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan this summer: "There were offers, but nothing better than Betis."

Adan, 29, came through the ranks at Real Madrid but made just 18 appearances for Los Blancos in three seasons with the first team.
After a failed move to Cagliari, where he played only twice, he found a home with Betis in 2014 and has shown himself to be a strong stopper in his own right.
He could have made a shrewd purchase for Liverpool, but in signing 23-year-old Loris Karius, the Reds have acquired a younger and better prospect.
