Red Sox OF Andrew Benintendi Leaps over Fence to Rob Steven Souza of Home Run
The Boston Red Sox have yet another rising star in their outfield.
Promoted on Aug. 2, rookie Andrew Benintendi already boasts a .306/.353/.468 slash line and has made his presence felt in left field.
Monday night, the 22-year-old lunged over the Tropicana Field fence to rob the Tampa Bay Rays' Steven Souza of a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Red Sox then scored three runs in the ninth to secure a 6-2 victory, which tied the Toronto Blue Jays for first place in the American League East.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Good thing Boston moved him from center field to left before the inning began.
Selected with the No. 7 pick of last year's amateur draft, Benintendi quickly ascended up Boston's farm system to earn major league playing time this season.
If he keeps up this stellar work offensively and defensively, he'll earn his spot alongside All-Stars Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. to form one of baseball's most well-rounded outfield trios.
