Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Andreas Christensen, Loic Remy Rumours
Borussia Monchengladbach have reportedly approached Chelsea with a £15.1 million bid to turn Andreas Christensen's loan deal into a permanent move. Meanwhile, media reports link Loic Remy with a move to Turkish side Besiktas.
Christensen spent the 2015-16 season on loan with Monchengladbach and impressed greatly. While the Bundesliga side has already secured his services for the upcoming campaign as well, they're reportedly keen to make sure he stays in Germany on a permanent basis.

According to Bild (h/t Jon Harvey for Metro.co.uk), the club has launched an initial £15.1 million offer, which likely won't be enough to tempt the Blues, who value the youngster closer to £18.4 million. The clubs could reach a compromise if the deal contains a buyback clause.
Christensen has already made it clear he wants to play regular first-team football, according to Goal, which is something that might be hard to come by at Stamford Bridge once he returns from loan. The 20-year-old has quickly become a quality option for Monchengladbach during his time in Germany, as you can see in the video below:
Blues fans have high hopes for Christensen, who could be the perfect replacement for ageing centre-back John Terry next year. But the Blues haven't done a great job of promoting youngsters in the last few years, and once they loan out their starlets, they tend to sell them more often than not.
Nemanja Matic is a perfect example―he was sold to Benfica and developed into a fine midfielder, prompting the Blues to bring him back into the fold. They would obviously prefer not to lose too much money on Christensen should he develop into a star performer, which is where the buyback clause would come in handy.
Monchengladbach have the cash to make a tantalising offer following the sale of Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, and after the loss of Havard Nordtveit, the club could use the positive publicity that would come with a transfer for Christensen.
All of this is contingent on Chelsea considering a sale in the first place, however. New manager Antonio Conte found some success integrating younger players during his time with Juventus, and while he took some flak for his lack of faith in some of Italy's top youngsters, he has already shown an interest in Chelsea's academy.
His work with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ola Aina in particular has stood out, and there's every reason to believe the two will get their chances during the 2016-17 campaign. If Christensen continues his development, he could have an even greater impact on his return, so don't expect Chelsea to entertain a sale unless Monchengladbach are willing to spend big.
Elsewhere, Turkish outlet Sabah (h/t Daily Star's James Benson) reported that Besiktas will turn their attention to Remy after losing Mario Gomez during the summer. The Germany international confirmed he won't be returning due to the ongoing political conflict in Turkey, leaving the club scrambling for an alternative.

Per the report, Mario Balotelli has already ruled out a move, and Remy would be next on the list. The Frenchman is not expected to play a big role for Chelsea this season, as new signing Michy Batshuayi will pass him in the pecking order.
Per Turkish-Football.com, negotiations between both clubs are already ongoing:

— Turkish-Football.com (@Turkish_Futbol) July 29, 2016"
According to Sabah, financial fair play restrictions will complicate matters, which is why Besiktas would prefer to bring Remy in on loan with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
Chelsea would obviously prefer to move the striker permanently, and with over a month remaining in the summer transfer window, there's a good chance another club will emerge if Besiktas' final offer falls short of expectations.
