This is the first chance to get a close look at Milwaukee Bucks center Thon Maker, who was drafted 10th overall in June.
Maker—who was born in Sudan, moved to Australia and didn't go to college—was picked earlier than what many expected. The 7'1" big man has also seen his age questioned, as it was believed that he was older than 19, via Sports Illustrated's Jake Fischer:
Doing a Q&A on the Bucks' official Twitter account, Maker was asked that question on Thursday:
"How old are u #AskThon
— Chris Brozynski (@amazinguy20) July 7, 2016"
With plenty of mystery shrouded around Maker due to his roots and lack of college ball, this was a high-risk pick for the Bucks.
They'll be hoping that Maker can make an impact immediately and put to rest any doubts that have built around him.

Even though the Grizzlies only had one first-round pick, they were able to get a pair of first-round talents.
With the 17th overall pick, the Grizzlies took Vanderbilt's Wade Baldwin IV, who has some high expectations from ESPN.com's D.J. Foster:
"Baldwin is a point guard with a 6-foot-11 wingspan who probably needs to file a restraining order on Jay Bilas (a legendary lover of wingspans). He has all the physical tools to be a disruptive defensive force, and his spot-up shooting should come in handy for a team that always seems to be starved for floor spacing. He could end up being one of the big steals of this draft class.
"
Michigan State forward Deyonta Davis fell into their laps when the Boston Celtics selected and then shipped him to Memphis with the first pick of the second round.
However, a bout with plantar fasciitis in his left foot will hold him out of the team's first three summer league games, per the Associated Press, via the Detroit Free Press.

Hawks fans will soon find out if new draft pick Taurean Prince is as good at rebounding as he is at explaining it, via The Cauldron:

Along with DeAndre' Bembry out of St. Joseph's, the Hawks will have a pair of first-rounders taking part in the summer league.
The Rockets, on the other hand, are being led by a veteran into Vegas, as 2008 No. 2 pick Michael Beasley is looking to resurrect his career in the NBA after he's failed to live up to expectations.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets, 8:30 p.m. ET

Kris Dunn looks to be the point guard of the future in Minnesota. He joins a young core of assets, led by Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, that could make the Timberwolves a dangerous team sooner rather than later.
The Nuggets also have the backcourt of their future on hand in Vegas, as 2015 first-round pick Emmanuel Mudiay will be joined by 2016 No. 7 pick Jamal Murray.
The quicker those two manage to jell, the more likely the Nuggets will find more success compared to last season.
Sacramento Kings vs. Toronto Raptors, 10 p.m. ET

The Sacramento Kings' questionable draft picks will hit the floor on Friday. Holding a lottery pick at No. 8, the Kings traded away Marquese Chriss to the Phoenix Suns for the No. 13 pick, where they chose Georgios Papagiannis, much to the chagrin of star big man DeMarcus Cousins:
Sacramento will also debut Skal Labissiere, whose lackluster freshman campaign at Kentucky was good enough to get him drafted at No. 28.
There aren't as many questions surrounding the Toronto Raptors, as they got Utah's Jakob Poeltl at No. 9 overall.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 10:30 p.m. ET

| Jamil Wilson | F | Liam McMorrow | C |
| Ethan Wragge | F | Nick Minnerath | F |
| Ivica Zubac | C | Alex Olah | C |
There's little disputing that the main focus on this game will be turned toward Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram and New Orleans Pelicans guard Buddy Hield, who went No. 2 and No. 6, respectively, in this year's draft.
Ingram is a 6'9" forward who can score and defend from the wing. He'll be added to the young talent pool that already includes D'Angelo Russell—who will also be in Vegas—Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle.
Hield was college basketball's version of Stephen Curry last season, as he was basically unstoppable from three-point range.
He's an explosive scorer who is capable of taking over and dominating a game:
With these two taking their first steps toward NBA stardom, basketball fans will be treated to an early matchup of a pair of promising youngsters.
