Recap
McIlroy was one of the standout performers on Friday, but during Saturday's early action, he reverted back to the form he showed in the opening round. He started the day in disastrous fashion, with a double-bogey on the par-four first, and he would hit three more bogeys and a single birdie on his way to a four-over front nine.
As shared by the European Tour's official Twitter account, his lone birdie on the front nine was a superb effort, but he had little else to celebrate:
McIlroy recovered on the back nine, hitting two birdies through the first four holes to move back into the top 10. He closed the gap to leader Jaidee to just three shots with back-to-back birdies on the 15th and 16th, and he added another birdie on the 17th before missing a difficult putt for birdie on the final hole.
While McIlroy was struggling, in-form Wang thrived on the front-nine. Like the Northern Irishman, he put himself into an excellent position on Friday with a round of five-under, and he continued his superb form on the front nine, shooting four-under.
His short game in particular was on point, as you can see in these highlights:
Back-to-back bogeys on the back nine moved him out of the lead, however, and Wang finished with a score of one-under, moving him two shots behind the new leader.
It was Jaidee who took sole possession of the top spot on the leaderboard with secure, solid golf on moving day. The 46-year-old played well from the tee and played risk-free golf, carding two birdies on the front nine, and he added another birdie for a score of three-under.

Lee Westwood was one of Saturday's top risers with a round of four-under, although his score could have been so much better if not for back-to-back bogeys on the front-nine. The Englishman found the green 13 times in regulation, his best mark yet of the tournament, but he needed 28 putts to complete his round.
Per the Independent, he thinks the tricky nature of the course means no lead is ever safe:
"On my 10th hole yesterday I holed from about 10 feet to not go six over par. You can change it pretty quickly by hitting some good shots and playing well around here.
Now I'm two under, five under was leading and who knows what it will be at the end of the day? Maybe the wind will pick up this afternoon with a bit of luck and the leaders won't get too far away from me. I don't think any lead is comfortable around this golf course. There's danger and trouble everywhere.
"
Defending champion Wiesberger started his day with back-to-back bogeys, but he cleaned up his play from the tee and hit his shots well the rest of the day, keeping his title bid alive.
