Chelsea Transfer News: Latest on Diego Costa Exit Talk, Michy Batshuayi Rumours
Chelsea could face the prospect of losing Diego Costa this summer after the striker reportedly "demanded" to leave Stamford Bridge, while Michy Batshuayi has passed his Chelsea medical ahead of a £33 million move.
Costa's former employers Atletico Madrid are reported to have made a £40 million offer to re-sign the forward and are set to begin negotiations, per the Daily Star's Paul Brown.

That means the Blues stand to net a profit on a player they acquired for £32 million in 2014 and that Batshuayi could be brought in as a replacement rather than competition.
Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney recently commented on the correlation between the two developing transfers, and it's true Batshuayi's arrival from Olympique Marseille would undoubtedly ease the blow of a Costa departure:
Costa was a crucial component for Chelsea in their run to the 2014-15 Premier League crown, but he failed to maintain his form during a disappointing 2015-16 campaign, during which he netted just 16 times in all competitions.
Metro's Chris Winterburn also commented on the diminishing interest in Everton's Romelu Lukaku, and Brown recently confirmed the Blues are more concerned with landing his cheaper Belgian compatriot, Batshuayi:
Costa scored 64 goals in 134 appearances for Atletico Madrid between 2010 and 2014, per Transfermarkt, and it was during his last two seasons at the club when he rose to prominence in La Liga.
Meanwhile, Batshuayi has been devoting some of his Euro 2016 campaign toward making sure he has all the proper social media connections ahead of his big-money move to Stamford Bridge:
Sky Sports's Peter Gilbert recently reported the Marseille frontman had completed a medical in Bordeaux, France, after being granted permission to temporarily leave Belgium's Euro 2016 camp.
The 22-year-old scored a joint-career-best 23 goals across all competitions last season, and Kristof Terreur of Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws revealed the striker comes highly rated among those who know him:
Batshuayi has impressed at Euro 2016 too, and he came off the bench to score with his first touch in Belgium's 4-0 rout of Hungary in the round of 16 on Sunday.
Blues fans will be hoping the youngster can bring a similar efficiency to Stamford Bridge this summer, especially in light of the development new manager Antonio Conte could be set to lose Costa before he's even arrived.
