BMW International Open 2016: Friday Leaderboard Scores and Highlights
Henrik Stenson fired his way into contention for the 2016 BMW International Open title on Friday after recording a second-round score of 65 to tie for the lead with Raphael Jacquelin and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
The Swede replicated Jacquelin's first-round score to join him at the summit on 11 under overall. Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen is just one shot off the joint leaders.
A brief rain delay suspended play toward the end of the second round in Pulheim, Germany, but the conditions cleared up for the likes of Felipe Aguilar and Zander Lombard to finish their runs into the top 10.
Reigning champion Pablo Larrazabal is also in contention for back-to-back titles after recording a three-under on Friday to find himself tied for sixth heading into the second half of the competition.

Recap
Jacquelin's opening-round score of 65 required a spotless outing with no bogeys in sight, and Stenson matched that exact feat on Friday after rounding the Golf Club Gut Larchenhof course without error, too.
Stenson's seven birdies were enough to draw him level with Jacquelin at the leaderboard perch. Thanks to the putting form he showed on the 11th, he soared up the standings:
Just as he had done on Thursday, Jacquelin headed into the clubhouse with the lead in his pocket after rounding the course in 68, a solid score, although nowhere near as impressive as his opener.
Larrazabal is attempting to become the first player to win three BMW International Open titles, as well as the first to win the contest two years in a row, and he was pleased with a second round of three under:
The Spaniard now sits at seven under overall and could still feasibly match the tournament score of 271 that saw him take the 2015 crown, although a heady list of contenders sits between him and the top spot.
Thailand's Aphibarnrat also came close to a seamless Round 2 score and went eight under after recording his only bogey of the day on the fourth. He ended Thursday with a tremendous 64—the joint-best score of any player.

The 26-year-old won two European Tour events in 2015 and is gathering momentum this year. He impressed on Thursday, shooting four birdies and an eagle on the back nine to climb level at the top.
One of the best shots of the second round came from Spanish veteran Sergio Garcia, who aced the 157-yard 11th hole to bring him up to six under for the day heading into the home stretch:
The 36-year-old was primed to finish among the highest contenders, but a roller-coaster finish to Friday's outing saw him record two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey between the 13th and 17th, ending his day at 68.
It was also a day to forget for Masters champion Danny Willett, who failed to make the cut after struggling to recover from a disastrous opening round of 74. He notched 70 on Friday to end his tournament on par overall.
