Royal Ascot 2016: Winners, Payouts and Orders of Finish on Wednesday
Frankie Dettori rolled back the years on Wednesday after storming to victory in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot aboard American filly Lady Aurelia before riding Persuasive to a win in the Sandringham Handicap.
The 2-1 favourite, Lady Aurelia, claimed a £62,381 prize pot after bullying runner-up Al Johrah to victory in one of the day's most heralded fixtures, where Dettori piloted a smooth ride and triumphed by seven lengths.
Wednesday's biggest payout went to My Dream Boat, with jockey Adam Kirby riding the 16-1 outsider to victory one day after becoming a father and sealing a win in the Prince of Wales Stakes worth just over £425,000.
It was a superb day for the Godolphin team, too, after they booked wins in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes, the Jersey Stakes and the Royal Hunt Cup, confirmed by Channel 4 Racing:

Italian Stallion Dettori Back on Top
Dettori will have had harder rides in his career, but Wednesday's win atop 2-1 favourite Lady Aurelia at the Queen Mary Stakes nevertheless required some keen steering from the veteran.
The field was laid to waste as Al Johrah was a very distant second, and Channel 4 Racing provided footage of the dominant finish, where Dettori collected his 29th win of 2016, per Racing Post:
It wouldn't be a Dettori win without his signature dismount, either, as shown by William Hill's Jon Ivan-Duke:
In just the second race of her career, Lady Aurelia showed precisely why trainer Wesley Ward's charge is gathering quite a bit of hype in racing circles, backing up her favourite tag with aplomb.
Dettori also boarded 11-4 shot Persuasive in the Sandringham Handicap later on Wednesday and continued to show his class with another much tighter result, his third win of the festival thus far:
Adam Kirby Celebrates Fatherhood in Style

Making the leap into fatherhood can often produce the best in top athletes, and jockey Kirby showed he's no exception to the rule on Wednesday with a second win of this year's Royal Ascot festival.
My Dream Boat entered the final furlongs as part of a pack jostling for the rail before steaming clear of the competition to edge a close victory over Found, per Racing UK:
The jockey became a father on Tuesday and was extremely emotional speaking to Channel 4 Racing after his second win in as many days, spurred on by the birth of son:
His victory in the Prince of Wales Stakes netted a prize of £425,325, almost twice as much as any other payout of his career to date, per Racing Post.
There doesn't appear to be any coincidence the Irishman rode to a win aboard Profitable in the King's Stand Stakes barely 24 hours earlier, and trainer Clive Cox will undoubtedly be delighted with his charge.
