Real Madrid Transfer News: David De Gea Talks Amid Manchester United Rumours
Real Madrid will reportedly not sign Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea this summer, with the stopper "unaware" of any interest from Los Blancos.
Jose Felix Diaz of Spanish daily Marca reported Real held a meeting with agent Jorge Mendes—who represents De Gea and new United boss Jose Mourinho—to distance themselves from a move.
And De Gea told radio station Cadena Ser he's oblivious to any talk of a switch to Los Blancos (h/t Goal's Sacha Pisani):

"I know nothing about Madrid wanting to sign me. I'm calm. I have three more years in Manchester. United have given me everything. Now I'm just concentrating on the Euros and to be with the national team.
I'm at a big club, which gives me love every day. I'm very grateful for Manchester United and I'm very happy there.
"
De Gea was hounded by the Madrid giants last summer and came close to leaving for Real before a deadline-day filing error saw his transfer collapse.
Instead, it's understood Los Merengues are content with Costa Rica international Keylor Navas, and Marca translator Chris Winterburn assured fans it was a decision fuelled by Real coach Zinedine Zidane:
Navas played a prominent role for Real in 2015-16 after coming close to swapping places with De Gea last summer, and he helped to guide the team to their 11th European title and a second UEFA Champions League win in three seasons.
De Gea also told Cadena Ser of his happiness to work under a manager like Mourinho, who is hoping to restore United to the heights they enjoyed under Sir Alex Ferguson (h/t Goal's Pisani):
"I came to United to win trophies. It is true these last two years we have not been at the level the club deserves. We hope that Mourinho, with his will to win, will make sure United to return to the top.
I have not spoken with Mourinho and not asked team-mates about him. I think we already know him. At United we've missed a manager like Mourinho. With the personality and mindset of a winner. Getting him was right.
"
Immediately after the alleged faxing error that scrapped last summer's swap between De Gea and Navas, the former signed a new four-year contract at United, complete with an option for a fifth year.
That served as a statement of his intent to once again achieve big things at Old Trafford, and Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News pushed the point that may be possible with Louis van Gaal now gone:
With De Gea committed to the cause and Real seemingly no longer a threat to the Spaniard's allegiances, United fans can afford to feel a sense of relief in knowing one of their biggest stars is set to stay.
It's incredible to think Spain manager Vicente del Bosque may remain undecided on whether to start the 25-year-old ahead of veteran Iker Casillas at Euro 2016, but ESPN FC's readers have had their say on the matter:
While De Gea appears safe at the Theatre of Dreams for the time being, United supporters should hope Navas can maintain his stellar standards under Zidane, as there's no guarantee Real won't come back one day.
For now, though, United can look forward to at least another season with one of the world's most talented goalkeepers between the sticks as they aim to thrive as part of the Mourinho revolution.
