The Oregon Ducks—the men's two-time defending national champions—are right back on the leading pace, three points ahead of the second-place Arkansas Razorbacks.
Edward Cheserek was the only Duck to win an event on Wednesday, taking the 10,000-meter run with a time of 29:09.57.
It was the third time he's won the 10,000-meter title and his 14th NCAA title in his career. He spoke with the Pac-12 Network after the race:
Second-place Arkansas also saw a national title winner on Wednesday when Jarrion Lawson won the high jump with a mark of 26 feet, nine inches. It was his third long-jump title and his first that came outdoors, per Bob Holt of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
But his competition is far from over, as he'll be in three different sprint finals on Friday.
Thursday will see the second half of the decathlon, while the women's side of the competition will get going. In total, there will be 16 events on Thursday with six individual national champions crowned.
