Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Neymar and Paul Pogba
An intermediary has offered Barcelona's Neymar to bitter rivals Real Madrid for a fee of £149 million (€192 million), according to a report by Spanish media outlet Cadena COPE (h/t the Sun's Matt Heath-Smith).
Barcelona's financial problems mean they are expected to be unable to cope with the Brazilian's wage demands, with the former Santos starlet eager to drastically increase his current contract with the Camp Nou club.
Per Duncan Wright of the Sun, Barca are currently saddled with major debt and fear the financial turmoil should they bow to Neymar's requests, despite significant interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Due to strict ruling at the Catalan side, no player is allowed to earn more than Argentine striker Lionel Messi, meaning the 24-year-old will be forced to take a back seat until the five-time Ballon d'Or winner eventually falls from grace.
Per Spanish newspaper Sport, the intermediary reportedly offered Real a deal with Neymar's contract billed at €30 million per year (£23 million). According to Sun Sport, Ligue 1 champions PSG have also offered the flamboyant attacker a similar figure to lure his talents to the Parc des Princes.
WhoScored.com highlighted Neymar's importance to Luis Enrique's side in 2015-16:
The English outlet states should any potential move materialise, one of Real's attacking triumvirate Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema will be sold as a makeweight to finance the deal, despite Real lifting the UEFA Champions League for a second time in three years.
It is Neymar's individual excellence, as noted by OptaJose, that explains why he has become one of the brightest stars in world football:
Per Sport, the COPE report states that Neymar's current contract agreement with the league and cup winners has not been formalised, and presently only a verbal agreement is in place. However, Neymar may be using Real as a bargaining tool to leverage a negotiation stance having previously stated his intention to remain at the club, per the Sun's Andrew Richardson.
Elsewhere, head coach Zinedine Zidane is targeting a move for Juventus playmaker Paul Pogba, per Goal's Tom Webber.
The France international will lead his country as the host nation at UEFA Euro 2016, having become a mainstay of Didier Deschamps' starting XI after making his international debut three years previous. The Juve midfielder has developed considerably after making the move from Old Trafford to Serie A and now aligns among the world's most gifted and sought-after talents.

Real president Florentino Perez claimed earlier in the week the Santiago Bernabeu club would seek to purchase the 23-year-old should he come available this summer, per Alex Fisher of Goal.
Speaking in Turin, Zidane was adamant his compatriot would fit perfectly at the Liga giants. Per Webber, the Real boss said: "He is a great player, every team would want to have him. But he is a Juventus player, and we have to respect that."
Per WhoScored.com, Pogba scored on 10 occasions in all competitions for Juve during the 2015-16 campaign, as he helped Massimiliano Allegri's side to become the first Italian club to secure successive Scudetto and Coppa Italia triumphs.
