IPL 2016: Top Run-Scorers, Leading Wicket-Takers and More After T20 Eliminator
Sunrisers Hyderabad knocked the last former champions out of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 race on Wednesday, beating Kolkata Knight Riders to book their spot in the final qualifier with a 22-run win.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar continued his fine form with the ball, picking up three wickets to become the IPL's new leading wicket-taker. David Warner (28 for 28) reclaimed second place in the run-scorers' standings, passing AB De Villiers of Royal Challengers Bangalore. His team-mate Virat Kohli remains the leader.
Hyderabad will face Gujarat Lions in the final qualifier on Friday, with the winner taking on Bangalore for the title on Sunday.

Wednesday's clash was billed as a battle between the two best bowling teams in the IPL, and fans got exactly what they expected. Not a single player finished with an economy rate in the double digits, and while Kolkata's bowlers impressed, Hyderabad's dominated.
Kumar in particular played four fantastic overs, finishing with figures of four for 19. Per Hotstar, he also impressed while fielding, making this spectacular catch to dismiss Yusuf Pathan:
The Indian star has bowled more dot balls than anyone in this year's IPL, and his 21 wickets are the league's top mark as well. Team-mate Mustafizur Rahman ranks sixth in those standings, and he also had a strong outing against Kolkata, giving up 28 runs.
He was overshadowed by Moises Henriques (two for 17) and Kumar, however, particularly in the end-overs. Henriques won the Man of the Match award, but surprisingly, he wasn't even fully satisfied with his performance, per ESPN Cricinfo:
"I still feel like I left a lot of runs out there.
All the bowlers bowled well, and we fielded really well.
It was staying low, so facing Morne and Holder was easier, turning their ridiculous bounce to normal bounce. We have guys who take the pace off, we have ones who can put the pace on, good death bowlers too.
The game owes you nothing, every opportunity you have to grab it.
"
Hyderabad did well with the bat, scoring 162 runs against a Kolkata outfit that has impressed with the ball as well. Opener Warner found the boundary just three times, but Yuvraj Singh (44 from 30) picked up the slack, while Henriques also contributed 31 from 21.
Kolkata had just one player in the run-scorer's top 10 entering the match (Gautam Gambhir, who finished with the same 28 from 28 score as Warner) but batted well in their last few matches, and the likes of Gambhir, Robin Uthappa and Pathan are usually more than capable of chasing down a target of 163.

Their innings never really got started, however, with Henriques and Kumar taking key wickets every time a pairing started building a rhythm.
Kumar wasn't at his best in 2015, and former cricketer Anjum Chopra has been impressed by his resurgence:
Gujarat finished the group stages of this year's IPL with the best record in the league, but their batsmen found no success against Hyderabad's bowlers when these two teams last met on May 6. Momentum is with Hyderabad, who will like their chances of beating Lions and setting up a date with Bangalore if their bowlers keep playing like they did on Wednesday.
A clash between Royal Challengers, who are built around their explosive attack, and Sunrisers, who usually win on the strength of their bowling, would be a fantastic matchup for the final, and it's one most neutral fans will likely be begging to watch.
