Barcelona Transfer News: Arda Turan Stay Expected, Javier Mascherano Rumours
Arda Turan will not be leaving Barcelona over the summer despite recent reports indicating the Blaugrana are ready to move him on, according to the Turkish midfielder's agent, Ahmed Bulut.
Turan only joined Barca last summer from Atletico Madrid—and could not make his debut until January because of the club's FIFA-imposed registration ban—and Bulut said he is eager to make a bigger impression next season, per radio station RAC1 (via the Mirror's Ed Malyon):
"There is a 0 per cent chance that Arda isn’t at Barcelona next season.
Arda is happy with the games he is playing and the two titles they have won since he debuted.
The inactivity cost him a little bit, and next season he will be able to do pre-season with the team which is always important.
Now he is going away with Turkey, he will go on holiday and then he will join the pre-season. His first year at Atletico was difficult too, which is why I’m convinced that the year to come will be far better.

Malyon previously reported that Barca were "ready to give up on" the 29-year-old—who cost them €34 million—despite him having played just 816 minutes of La Liga football for them, and the club were prepared to listen to offers from the Middle East, China and Turkey.
Bulut, though, is clear that his client will be staying at the Camp Nou, and it would indeed be quite premature of Barca to move Turan on after only half a season of actual game time.
He arrived at the Catalan giants last summer in curious circumstances knowing he would not be able to play for them until 2016, and he is likely to be much sharper next term when he has enjoyed full preparations.
Turan has already claimed a La Liga and Copa del Rey title with Barca, although he was left on the bench by manager Luis Enrique as they won the latter on Sunday against Sevilla.
In his 18 Spanish top flight appearances, Turan netted twice and provided three assists, per WhoScored.com.
He can play either as an advanced central midfielder or on either flank, and he will still be a useful and experienced squad player next season even if Barca decide to bolster their front line, as suggested by Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe and Dean Jones:
At Atletico, he was a key part of Diego Simeone's side that won a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey and a UEFA Europa League trophy, and if given a chance by Enrique, he could be equally valuable at Barca.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly in danger of losing Javier Mascherano to Juventus with the Argentina international having already reached an agreement with the Italian outfit.

According to Gerard Romero of Sport, Barca and Juve are yet to reach any kind of deal and the Catalans "have no intention of selling [Mascherano] at the moment."
But the Serie A giants and Mascherano have agreed a three-year deal that would see the former Liverpool star much better paid than he currently is, and he has recently been "assessing the possibility of leaving [Barca] for an improved contract," added Romero.
As one of Barcelona's most experienced, reliable and influential players, Mascherano would be a huge loss, but he could also be a fine addition to Juve, per Serie A expert David Amoyal:
He has been converted into a centre-back at Barca but can still be very effective in his more natural defensive-midfield position.
As Mascherano, 31, still has two years left on his current contract, Barca could demand a decent fee from Juventus, but he would arguably be irreplaceable given his influence both on and off the field.
