IPL 2016: Highest Run-Scorers, Top Bowling Averages and More T20 Stats
The Rising Pune Supergiants' Adam Zampa retains the best bowling average in the 2016 season of the Indian Premier League thus far, but Dwayne Smith roared into the top 10 with his stunning performance in the Gujarat Lions' six-wicket defeat of the Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday.
Smith sits fourth in the standings after bagging four wickets at the cost of just eight runsโwhich is also the second best set of bowling figures for the season behind Zampa's 19 for six.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore duo Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers hold onto the top two spots for most runs scored, but there's plenty of potential for movement behind them.

Prior to Thursday's game, Smith's average sat at 65 after collecting just one wicket in his previous seven overs for the season.
That all changed when he bagged four in as many overs against the Knight Riders to bring his average down to 14.60 with a brilliant performance where his economy rate was just 2.00.
As Sky Sports Cricket revealed, Smith helped restrict KKR to just 124 runs:
Commentators Ayaz Memon and Harsha Bhogle were left in awe:
Robin Uthappa, Piyush Chawla,ย Manish Pandey and Shakib Al Hassan were all dismissed, the latter two on just one and three runs respectively.
The 33-year-old also set a season record, per stats man Mohandas Menon:
Smith reflected on his performance while speaking to Shirin Sadikot for the IPL:
Thursday's match was the first real bit of form Smith has shownย with ball in hand, so it's unlikely he'll be able to chase down Zampaโor better his bowling figuresโbut such an exceptional outing deserves great recognition.
In the race for the Orange Cap, it's highly unlikely Kohli will be caught, but David Warner could catch De Villiers.

The batsman sits just 30 runs behind him, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad have a game in hand over RCB. Further, after maintaining a batting average of 56.70 and claiming 52 in his last outing, it seems fairly likely the Australian will do so.
It would likely mean a lot to Warner, as he is evidently an admirer of the pair:
Over 100 runs behind him, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma andย Gautam Gambhir are all close togetherโjust four runs separates the trioโand Warner's partner Shikhar Dhawan has an outside chance of joining them thanks to their game in hand with the Delhi Daredevils.
Dhawan needs 55 to pull level with Gambhir, though he hasn't come particularly close to a half-century since his 82 against the Mumbai Indians four matches ago.
Per Menon, his opening partnership with Warner has been particularly fruitful:
Of the two, it seems more likely Warner will be the one to move up the standings, but should Dhawan produce another excellent performance as he did against Mumbai, he could leapfrog all three of batsmen immediately ahead of him. ย
