Barcelona Players Set for Huge La Liga Title Bonus Payments
Barcelona's players will reportedly get to share as much as €18 million worth of bonuses should they beat Granada and secure a second-straight La Liga title on Saturday.
Barca travel to the Estadio Los Carmenes to face a Granada side with nothing to play for, knowing three more points will guarantee the title ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid.
But there isn't just a sporting incentive to complete one half of a league and Copa del Rey double. There are also not-so small financial windfalls due to Barca's players if they win, dependent on the squad status of each player.

Javier Miguel of Spanish publication Sport provided the details:
"The cracks of the team, such as Lionel Messi and Neymar, will earn bonuses of between 750,000 euros and one million euros in the case of a La Liga win. Second-tier players - in terms of contracts - like Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and Dani Alves will collect around 650,000 euros. And from there it carries on reducing, with the lesser-used players on a 300,000 euros bonus.
"
Miguel also noted how these bonuses are written into the respective contracts of the playing squad at the Camp Nou club. So Barca are aware of the hefty fiscal commitment that will come should Lionel Messi and Co. secure another title.
Interestingly, Miguel also revealed how that commitment will increase further should the Blaugrana beat Sevilla in this season's Copa del Rey final: "Winning the two trophies would add another seven million euros to the bonus fund, taking the total to 25 millions. The cracks of the team, for example, would then receive over one million euros in bonuses."

Wrapping up a double would be ample consolation for Barca relinquishing the UEFA Champions League trophy this season. La Liga foes Atletico Madrid knocked out the holders at the quarter-final stage, ensuring no repeat of last season's treble success.
It's a defeat that has denied some Barca players "more than two million euros," per Miguel.
Of course, even without another European Cup, this Barcelona squad is set to be well compensated. Receiving ample bonuses to go along with two more trophies would certainly soften the blow of missing out in Europe's premier club competition.
It would also further emphasise Barca's status as the current dominant force in Spain's top flight.
