Joseph's Surgery Designed to Help with 'Wear and Tear Issues'

According to ESPN.com's Tania Ganguli, Joseph said the procedure "was so minor he never even needed crutches."
The 32-year-old cornerback hasn't appeared in fewer than 14 games over the course of a regular season since 2010, and he'll enter the 2016 campaign looking to string together a third consecutive 16-game slate.
Following an up-and-down 2014 season, Joseph bounced back a bit in 2015. Although he recorded just one interception while playing on 83.8 percent of Houston's defensive snaps, per Football Outsiders, the two-time Pro Bowler finished the season ranked No. 4 overall among all NFL defensive backs with 22 passes defended.
No Texans defensive back played more snaps than Joseph last season, so to say he's a linchpin in the team's secondary would be an understatement.
Also consider that second-year man Kevin Johnson and Kareem Jackson represent the team's other go-to options at corner, and Joseph will need to stay healthy for Houston to remain sound on the back end.
