Triple H, WWE Agree to New Contract: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction
Triple H and WWE agreed to a new three-year deal Monday, per James Caldwell of Pro Wrestling Torch.
The contract was constructed so that the King of Kings will continue to be an active wrestler in addition to his duties with WWE's corporate office.
Caldwell didn't provide the financial specifics of Triple H's contract but noted he earned a little over $2.8 million in 2015, with the largest chunk ($1.7 million) coming from his salary as an on-camera talent.

News of the deal isn't exactly a major shock. The 14-time world champion is WWE's executive vice president of talent, live events and creative, and he won election to the company's board of directors in February. Triple H is far too involved in WWE to envision him leaving anytime soon.
PWMania's Jason Solomon didn't imagine it took long to hammer out the details of the extension:
"Per PWInsider, Triple H has signed a new three-year deal as a wrestler for #WWE. I'm sure it must have been a tense negotiation.
— Jason Solomon (@solomonster) May 10, 2016"
Somewhat surprising is the fact that Triple H will continue to wrestle for at least the next three years. Losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32, thus elevating the biggest young Superstar in WWE, also would've been a nice way for him to wrap up his wrestling career:
Triple H could easily retire from in-ring action and maintain a major presence in WWE, both through his real-life responsibilities behind the scenes and his on-screen role as a member of The Authority.
Instead, he'll likely continue making sporadic appearances at WWE's biggest shows of the year, as has been the case since he ceased being a full-time performer in 2010.
