Liverpool vs. Chelsea: Jurgen Klopp's Key Quotes from Pre-Match Presser
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is insistent his side still have a lot to play for in the Premier League, and he is aiming for the Reds to finish as high as fifth at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.Ā
The Anfield outfit currently lie in eighth place with two games remainingāfive points back from fifth-placed Manchester Unitedāand they have May 18's UEFA Europa League final to think about against Sevilla in Basel.
Speaking on Tuesday ahead of the Reds' Wednesday home clash with Chelsea, Klopp said he still has lofty ambitions for the English top-flight season, per theĀ Liverpool Echo's James Pearce:

He added that many of the players who were rested for Sunday's 2-0 win over Watfordāwhich came three days on from Liverpool's Europa League semi-finalāwill return to the starting lineup, per Joe Mewis of the DailyĀ Mirror:Ā
"Weāll bring the fittest players. We had a few changes in the last game now most of the players who play tomorrow had a normal week.
Then weāll make a squad for Sunday, then make a squad for Basel. We do it all the time like this.Ā
What Iāve learned is to rotate! When youāre a young manager, itās not easy to do this. Weāve used our experience.
"
Klopp also said his long-term goal with Liverpool is to win the Premier League title, and he is confident his side can continue to improve, per Mewis:
"I have no idea when we can [win the title], but I can promise that we will try everything to build on the base we have.
Itās obvious weāve worked on a base. We can finish 8th, 7th, 6th...itās not the best position, but everybody saw the signs.
I donāt want to give you a time or a date when Iām sure weāll be champions. But we have to improve, and I think we will.
"
The reverse fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in October saw Liverpool prevail 3-1 in one of Klopp's first major victories as Reds manager.
Unquestionably, the German will be hoping for a similar performance on Wednesday, and he laid out an ambitious plan for how he would like to see the end of the season go, per BBC Sport's Juliette Ferrington:
The Blues' last outing saw them lose 3-2 to relegation-battling Sunderland, and Liverpool should be confident of picking up three points against Guus Hiddink's side, especially considering their home advantage.
Klopp admitted his Liverpool side had some problems at Anfield when he was first appointed back in October, but he said it is vital they perform at home, per Pearce:
Liverpool's late-season run to the Europa League finalāwhich has seen them get past Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Villarrealāhas been all the more impressive considering the long-term absences of Emre Can, Jordan Henderson and Divock Origi through injury andĀ Mamadou Sakho through suspension.
Can returned for last week's clash against Villarreal, but Klopp said he is not overly confident of Henderson returning before the end of the season, although he had some good news for England manager Roy Hodgson, per ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery:
The Europa League final is likely the main focus for most involved with Liverpool up until the end of the season, but a clash with Chelsea is always a match to whet theĀ appetite.
While neither side really has much to play for, it should still be an intriguing battle, and Klopp is clearly eager for his players maintain their level of competitiveness until the last day of the season.
