Romeo Parkes Kicks Karl Ouimette in the Back During United Soccer League Match
There were shocking scenes in the United Soccer League on Saturday as Pittsburgh Riverhounds forward Romeo Parkes launched an astonishing assault on New York Red Bulls II defender Karl Ouimette.
Both players were sent off following an altercation toward the end of the Red Bulls' 3-1 away win, but as Ouimette walked off the pitch, Parkes came after him with a vicious, studs-up kick to the back.
The Riverhounds forward was immediately confronted by Ouimette's angry team-mates. The stricken defender was later taken off the pitch on a stretcher, with the extent of his injuries not yet known.
