John Terry Receives Red Card vs. Sunderland: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction
Chelsea captain John Terry may have played his last-ever match for the Blues, as he was sent off against Sunderland for a second bookable offence during Saturday's Premier League action.
ESPN FC's Alex Shaw reported the news:
"Chelsea career over for John Terry. Two yellows = red. One game ban (LFC). Additional game ban for sending off earlier in season. Bye.

As shared by Dan Levene of talkSPORT, interim manager Guus Hiddink admitted he doesn't know what's next for Terry:
Terry charged into Wahbi Khazri deep into injury time and was rightly sent off. He received his first yellow card just minutes before.
The veteran's contract expires at the end of this season, so his impending suspension means his Blues career could be over, unless incoming manager Antonio Conte decides to keep the former England international around.
As shared by OptaJoe, Terry added another record to his long list of Chelsea marks, although this is one he likely wanted to avoid:
The 35-year-old has spent his entire senior career with Chelsea after a spell with West Ham United in his youth, winning four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and one UEFA Champions League.
Talented centre-back Kurt Zouma passed him in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season, as the Frenchman became the preferred partner for Gary Cahill. However, Zouma suffered a season-ending injury back in February, pushing Terry back into the starting XI.

Chelsea are known to be very cautious with handing out contracts to players over the age of 30, but the decision not to hand Terry a new deal never sat well with the fans. Thousands of supporters have signed a petition to keep him at the club, and some fans have urged technical director Michael Emenalo to leave instead, per Goal.com's Chris Davie.
Chelsea will play Liverpool in midweek, before they finish the season at home against Premier League champions Leicester City.
