Arsenal Transfer News: Alexis Sanchez Rumoured to Be Unhappy with Gunners
Arsenal may struggle to convince star winger Alexis Sanchez to sign a contract extension at the Emirates Stadium, following reports he's grown frustrated with life under manager Arsene Wenger.
According to the Telegraph's Matt Law, Sanchez "stormed out of the stadium" after being substituted in the 84th minute during Arsenal's 1-0 win over Norwich City on April 30, failing to acknowledge Wenger on his way to the exit.

The frustrations are reportedly mutual, however, as Law added that Wenger "is understood to be unimpressed" with his 2014 signing, whose performances this term haven't matched up with those during his maiden campaign at the club.
Speaking after the incident on Saturday Night Football, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp addressed Sanchez's behaviour and said he hasn't been playing well enough to justify his recent outburst:
"I can't remember it happening too many times in Arsene Wenger's reign. It's not ideal, I know I've never been a manager, but I wouldn't want that to happen to me. But what I will say is he was extremely average today. You know, he performed really badly, and I don't think he's got much of a complaint.
...
I expected him to be the main man today. He didn't do enough. He didn't play well enough today to be having that sort of reaction. But as Tim [Sherwood] rightly says, it just shows a disharmony in the camp.
"
Wenger has never struck as the type to put up with actions that might be detrimental to morale, and if the club don't feel confident about extending Sanchez's deal, then a sale may be seen as the optimal choice.
Sanchez has now failed to score in his last two Premier League appearances, but it wasn't long ago that Sky Sports Statto highlighted his superb scoring form, netting five goals in the span of just four matches:
The Gunners could find the Chilean has his share of suitors this summer, too, after the Mirror's John Cross reported that Bayern Munich have made "discreet enquiries" regarding the player's availability.
Law also provided previous quotes from Sanchez, who has questioned the desire of his team-mates in wanting to win major titles as he did during his days at Barcelona:
"If we go out on to the pitch with hunger to become champions, to win the Premier League or the Champions League, we can achieve it, to win big things.
There are great players. I train with them daily and they have got the mentality and the desire to win but we lack hunger, the mentality that we are [already] winning 1-0 when we go out on to the pitch.
"
The £35 million signing has two years remaining on his £130,000-a-week contract, and despite his lack of consistent form this season, Sanchez is regarded as a key member and fan favourite at the Emirates.
According to Law, the discourse between the forward and his manager was "frosty" at training this week, but he is nonetheless expected to start in Sunday's crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Should Sanchez remain at the Emirates beyond this summer and things worsen between the two parties, Arsenal risk losing him for a smaller fee in the final year of his deal.
The north Londoners will undoubtedly do all they can to agree to new terms with the 27-year-old, but it appears his edgy relationship with Wenger may have a detrimental impact on the player's commitment.
