Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Live Score, Analysis for Game 2

The Cleveland Cavaliers made an all-time NBA-record 25 three-pointers in Game 2 of their conference semifinal series against the Atlanta Hawks en route to a blowout 123-98 victory. The Cavaliers led by 36 points at halftime and were in front by as many as 41 points as they took a 2-0 series lead.

Cleveland came out of the gate firing, hitting eight shots from long range in the first quarter and then 10 more in the second period. It simply didn't matter how well the Hawks were defending the attempts, as the Cavs ended the first half an amazing 18-of-27 (66.7 percent) from downtown.

J.R. Smith was the leader of the three-point barrage, bagging seven treys. Nine other Cavaliers also made at least one.

An underrated aspect of the win for Cleveland was its defense. Atlanta had difficulty finding driving lanes and ended the first half shooting just 34.4 percent from the field. By then, the game was over.

LeBron James led the Cavs with 27 points while also adding four rebounds and five assists. Smith added 23 points and Kyrie Irving also had 19 points and six assists. Paul Millsap was the Hawks' bright spot, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in 26 minutes.
