Adam Rose Provides Doctor's Note in Response to WWE Suspension

Mike ChiariMay 4, 2016

On the heels of his 60-day suspension for violating WWE's talent wellness program, Adam Rose provided an explanation Tuesday night.

The 36-year-old Superstar tweeted a note from his doctor that revealed he has a prescription for Adderall, which he was prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD):

In a subsequent tweet, Rose said WWE has known for over a year he was prescribed Adderall.

Rose was suspended along with Konnor of The Ascension on April 16 for what WWE called their second violations of the company's wellness program, according to WWE.com.

The South Africa native previously released a statement on TwitLonger, which included the following: "I can say right now I did not do anything knowingly wrong and was taking prescribed medication that my Dr and I followed all the correct protocol on."

WWE has yet to release a statement in reference to Rose's comments or his doctor's note, and current indications are that his suspension is ongoing.

Rose addressed his uncertain future with the WWE again on Thursday:

Prior to the ban, Rose was part of the Social Outcasts stable along with Heath Slater, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, and he was used primarily as enhancement talent.

Rose took a significant leap of faith by airing his grievances publicly and challenging WWE's decision, which could have negative implications with regard to his status with the company.

If WWE did indeed know about the circumstances surrounding Rose's medication, however, Rose's outspokenness could potentially force the company's hand in terms of lessening the suspension or at least explaining its protocol.
