Real Madrid went into Wednesday evening's Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City with form behind them.

The Real Madrid team bus enjoyed a ceremonious arrival at the stadium:
In the 20th minute, Gareth Bale knocked in the first goal of the tie with a deflected strike across the face of goal, but it was later ruled an own goal by Fernando:

The ball was in the back of City's net once again in the 36th minute, but it was ruled offside:

Shortly after Toure's exit, Bale nearly doubled Madrid's advantage, but his header struck the bar:
