Ashok Dinda and his fellow Pune bowlers kept Hyderabad to a total of just 118/8, and Supergiants were well on their way to chasing down the target before rain spoiled the fun. After a short break, officials decided to call off the match, with just 11 overs of Pune's innings played.

Sunrisers vs. Supergiants
Pune, 94/3 (Smith 46, Dinda 3-23) beat Hyderabad, 118/8 (Dhawan 56, Kumar 1-17) by 34 runs (via D/L method).
Supergiants won the toss after a lengthy rain-delay and elected to field, a decision that paid off almost immediately. David Warner was bowled for a duck in the first over, putting Hyderabad on the back foot early.

ESPN Cricinfo’s Bharath Seervi took a quick look at the numbers, which weren't good for Hyderabad’s batsmen who follow the openers:
Shikhar Dhawan worked a slow half-century, scoring an unbeaten 56, but Sunrisers failed to find a reliable partner who could pair Dhawan for any length of time. Aditya Tare lasted 14 balls, scoring eight runs, and Eoin Morgan, Deepak Hooda and Moises Henriques combined for just two runs.
Per Seervi, Hyderabad’s Powerplay score of 27 set a new season low:
After 10 overs, Sunrisers had scored just 39 runs, as the bowling onslaught continued. A late push from Naman Ojha (18 from 21) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (21 from eight) pushed the total over 100, but the final score of 118 still looked pedestrian.
Dinda led Pune’s bowlers with figures of 3-23, while Mitchell Marsh also played an efficient innings, finishing with 2-14. No Pune bowler had an economy rate over 8.00.

Pune started the chase on a sour note, as Ajinkya Rahane was caught by Morgan for a duck, but Faf du Plessis (30 from 21) and Steven Smith (unbeaten 46) soon settled into a nice groove, patiently adding runs to the board. Their run rate sat at 6.6 after eight overs, with just 4.00 required to chase down the target the rest of the way.
At the halfway point, Supergiants were 88 for two, and the rest of the chase appeared a formality. The rain returned during the 11th over, halting the contest, but Pune were 34 runs ahead of the DLS par score.
With conditions worsening, the umpires got together and awarded the visitors the win by D/L method.
Per ESPN Cricinfo, Warner can't wait for star batsmen Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh to return to health, as the two were sorely missed on Tuesday:
"This wasn't what we expected. We made it look like they bowled well. The boys tried hard. When you lose wickets in clumps, it's tough to build momentum. We have two more games at home here coming up to try and bounce back. Yuvraj and Kane Williamson are close to returning. We'll see what the selectors say. We're glad to have the support of the crowd that turns up in huge numbers here.
"
Pune have looked fantastic at times during their inaugural IPL season, and Tuesday's performance ranks among their best. The bowlers shut down a strong Hyderabad attack, something few teams are capable of doing, and that bodes well for the Supergiants' play-off chances.
Hyderabad are still in play-off contention, but their reliance on Warner to produce in every single match is proving a problem. Singh and Williamson can't return soon enough, as the duo will add some much-needed depth to the lineup.
